Hi Brooke, Havn't heard the name of this flower, but your haiku has described it well, it shows so well that this plant thrives in the shade. Cheers Gaye

Thank you, Gaye - this is such a gorgeous flower, but many people have never seen them, even those who live in the regions where they grow. Brooke :-)

Brooke...

No one could ever shoot a master of such beautiful words.

You simply amaze me how you can paint these lovely pictures with so few words. A book of these pictures and your words would be fabulous.

Thanks for sharing. Carol C

Shoot you? No. The result was just too good. Isn't amazing how much effort is needed to write such a little poem. Lends credence to the concept of 'less is more.'

Hullo Adewpearl ...

Well - it sounds to me as if you really have had a great idea and I like the picture at the top - presuming that it is the flower under the leaves that you describe as "Jack in the Pulpit."
Of course, there is nothing to suggest changing and
I hope you continue to be so inspired !!
With love from ... Nanette Mary.

Do it! I'd love a whole book of haiku about wildflowers. This (and the others) is just another example of fine writing. A perfect little piece of, well, perfection.

Bang! I could hear you thinking all the way across the state line. You shouldn't think outloud, people will start to suspect your lunacy isn't just about poetry and Haiku's but that it goes much deeper. You know what they say? One out of every three people is insane. If the person to the right of you seems normal and the person on the left seems normal too, that leaves you. Have a wonderfull night, I think that's all for me today. mstad55

Oh, I figured out long ago I was one of the crazies :-) Why do you think I gravitate toward you with your singing, shoe loving characters? Thanks, Mike :-) Brooke

Beautifully done! I love haiku poetry and have always wanted to try it, but I know it can't be too easy to really send a message, make a description, etc. in such few words. Well, let me take that back, I know it wouldn't be easy for ME! Ha ha. Thanks so much for sharing!
