Hi Brooke Your septolet has a depth of meaning in it. Very appropiate artwork. Everyone can help in some small way. I always say 'there but for the grace of God go I' LOL Gaye

Wow...that stinks huh? Interesting turn of events with this one. Like it possible that the rejection turns full cycle. Good write.

A timely message, indeed. Any of us may
be only a paycheck away from being in dire
straits. As always, your poem is a cogent
reminder that the future can change in a heartbeat.

A wonderful depiction of what being poor can be and feel like. Very well thought out and portrayed. You have used good word choices and usage. Your subject is one that could draw out poems from now until forever. Thanks for sharing. Sharon

The reflective septolet poem titled "Foreshadowing" is another classic of our time. It's a sad statement of people, and scary as this can happen to anyone.

Your poem is well written and makes a strong social comment. Yes, who knows with the way the economy is going, if any of us could end up homeless and poor. Always have compassion for those less fortunate because what goes around comes around.

Another good poem. I'm not sure what to say--but I like that first line, it's very descriptive for such a short phrase. Excellent job.

Brooke,

you do a tremendous job, my friend. I could say a lot of things to you about this one, but I won't. This was a strong poem, (whatever kind it is) and the meaning is clear. Well done

Oh my! This is sad and very timely. Times are hard. There are so many in situations they never saw coming!

Your septolet has a wonderful pause. It shines a light on a dark reality for so many in these hard economic times.

The statement 'rolls window up' is heartbreaking - although, sadly, I've been known to do that. :(
