Wow, what a terrific six story contest entry, my friend. Well worded with a great message. There really isn't a whole lot one can say in reviewing such a short writing, is there? Good luck.

Good Morning, IndianaIrish.
Describing your mother as the light that leads you is beautiful. What a lovely tribute to your mother. We all need a strong beacon to guide us. :)

Hi, Irish...remember me? I remember you...I've been gone for tow years, even though I've been a member since 2004.. had the privilege of attending Dave Letterman's alma mater last summer at Ball State for the Writer's Conference. Do you ever go to that?
Anyway, good to find you still aboard. The six words work very well. I see you haven't lost your unique touch...Bob Mastery)

Hi Indy,
What a marvelous tribute to your Mom. This is a super strong metaphor for the strong beacon of light she is in your life. No matter where you are, dealing with stormy seas or even lost in fog, her light shines forth to guide you home to safer waters, or makes sure you don't crash on the rocks... and spill your catch of lobsters...;) The lighthouse horn will sound if its too foggy. It's comforting to know this lighthouse is always there as you navigate the seas of life.
The reader learns a great deal about your Mom in only six words... six powerful well chosen words. Lovely artwork of a lighthouse at work further enhances the visual aspect.
Good luck in this contest. This one is bound to be a strong contender. There's almost a novel within these six words. Well done.. ;) SK

What a beautiful response to my six word tribute to my mom, SK! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments...it's like you knew her. We're pretty lucky, huh SK. Both our Moms shared their special light with us.
Thank you!

Your short piece really sums up the idea that Moms are with us forever. Go job with so few words. I like the artwork with your story.
