I'm glad I read the top or I would not have seen the perfume drop comment. That helps tell a bit about your six words. Nice job!

Did your mother put moondrops on your pillows? This is unique. The words attracted me immediately. I love it. Well written. Not much else to say about something so short. But Good luck

Hi Delora... yes, my mom put her sweet smelling moondrops on our pillows.. there were four kids. It was a great way to get us to go to sleep, and the drops worked like a charm. Mom had a charming way about her that left us some strong positive memories. Glad you enjoyed this extremely short six worder. Appreciate your review... ;0) Art

I like this, Starkat.
Your six-word story gives a peaceful and restful feeling to the reader. (It makes me want to crawl back into bed and wait for the sweet dreams... I've only had four hours of sleep. haha)

The picture you chose is absolutely perfect! 'Moondrops' is unique and memorable and I like how you described it as 'Mom's magic perfume'. Very clever.

Best wishes in the contest.
Nic

What a wonderful thing your Mom did for her kids...give them some magic every night to ward off any nightmares. What a beautiful memory it must be, SK!

    Hi Indy,
I still have strong memories of Mom putting those sweet-smelling drops on our pillows (there was four of us), and telling us that those moondrops were magic and would bring us sweet dreams. It worked like a charm.

When I first read this, I didn't see how this fit into the contest premise regarding "mother." But I do understand now. She helped you have sweet dreams (in fact, she guaranteed it!) What a nice tribute to your mom.

Nice job with the nighttime imagery: moondrops, sweet dreams, even "pillow" because of the association with sleep.

Enjoyed this. Laura

Glad you enjoyed this little six worder, Laura. The smell of mom's magic moondrops, and envisioning her putting them on our pillows (four kids) is still strong after many decades. We really did sleep well and had sweet dreams.

Glad you enjoyed this little six worder, Reggie. This was a little remembrance when we (four kids) were small and mom put her magic moondrops on our pillows before bedtime. It worked. We always slept soundly with pleasant dreams...;) starkat
