This poem has a beautiful wistful feel.
I love the closing line.
Perfect artwork!
Aren't these lovely birds amazing creatures?

Just lovely! I'm so glad I trawled for poems of yours that I missed while I was out of the picture. Delicious design, Brooke. We have the Rose of Sharon over here too, and used to have it in a previous garden. Peter

Hi there again!
Just catching up after my op! The artwork here is unusal and quite beautiful. We don't have humming birds in NZ that I know off, yet I have read how interesting they are. I think this poem is really, really good. It appeals to me greatly. Thank-you. Marion.

I've been told by others that there are none in Australia or NZ - too bad, but you guys have so many other fantastic animals that we don't, so we are due having one cool one you don't! :-D Thanks, Brooke

I enjoy the hummingbirds so much. They are fearless around my feeders, often buzzing my head while I'm filling the feeders. I had one to fly into a spray of water while I was watering flowers. He hovered in the spray for a full minute before he flew off. It was amazing. I loved the connection you made between two objects in nature and the symbiosis of that connection. I have been out of town and didn't get to see the results of the contest we were in together for poem of the month. You were comfortably ahead. Did you win? If so, congratulations. It is a beautiful poem. Rhymeman, the cowboy poet.

Is "Solomon" a book in the Bible? I wasn't aware of that. I've heard of The Song Of Solomon - even read it a couple of times now. . . .
Cool poem, homie.

No, Nescher, Solomon is a totally different chapter known only to a handful of biblical scholars in a secret society! :-D Thanks :-) Broooke

A simple message telling of Eternal truth. I really like this direct truth of this poem. Thanks for it. I love Rose of Sharon and butterflys, so I'm really drawn to this short poem. Well done, as usual.

Such beauty once again, and I'm thankful for your notes as I'd never heard of the rose of sharon. Does this form have an origination with haiku?
Lovely work as always!

I don't really know the history of the form, but yes, I think it is from the same tradition. Thanks, Brooke :-)
