Er......well. I'm not at all sure what I make of this. It's a good piece of poetry, no doubt about that. The content is extremely disturbing though. I don't have a christian faith, but if I did, I might feel you were talking about the antichrist in birth. Let me know if I'm simply thinking utter rubbish, please!

Now that is how one should write a little slice of darkness, there are some great lines to tantalizing the taste buds and conjure up some refined images. I'm glad I popped on site for a quick look see. Thank you Dklrdmcches, I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Birth.

COOL! Is the first thing that came into my mind after reading your offering friend, VERY COOL!
Now that is how one should write a little slice of darkness, there are some great lines to tantalizing the taste buds and conjure up some refined images. I'm glad I popped on site for a quick look see. Thank you Dklrdmcches, I thoroughly enjoyed reading The Birth.

Read and reread this to try to understand it's meaning. I perceive it to be a very dark and eerie piece. Almost as if the mother knows the dark and dangerous life her child will face. Setting the scene for a horror movie perhaps. Very original write and enjoyed. great job.

This poem is well-written but spooky. It is terrifying to think a child will become a servant of the dark lord instead of the King of Light. Much to ponder in this dark piece. Excellent imagery and consistant, easy-to-read flow. Blessings to you, Linda

Very dark free verse treatment of a soul that you feel has no hope. Such words and phrases as: Intensity rages, dark skies, Under Lord, Army of Dark, back stabbing, and Destruction and chaos give intensity to this writing.
