Hi adewpearl
Well this is one of my favouite 'little' flowers. Do you know also that the sweet violet is also an aphrodisiac? And if you pick a flower, smell its beautiful scent once and try and smell it again, your senses don't accept it and you cannot smell it again until next time! I grow these in my woodland garden. They are such a delight when all out, and their scent so alluring. I enjoyed this lovely poem. Marion.

Marion, I'm not even going to ask you why you're growing aphrodisiacs!!! LOL Thanks, Brooke :-)

I'm answering you, anyway!!! LOL. They weed-dle their way through the woodland garden by choice. There was only one when I came here years ago. I'm quite happy about it, their sensual alluring scent makes my early morning walk around the garden quite erotic. LOL. M.

adewpearl--As one who fancy himself owner of
a green thumb, I dote on all flora (from cacti
to wild flowers, trees and some weeds-smile)and
find this color/flower to be my most favorite/
prolific. In my opinion, your postings provide
the nuances for good reading: intuition, inter-
est and insight. teafor2

The rhyme, metre and alliteration all serve to make this a delicious poem, Brooke, in which you elevate the humble pansy to a glorious position. Peter

Oh, how I agree with that! Violet is my favorite flower too. Their lovely humility certainly spells power! There is just something about this flower that attracted poets for decades. Maybe it's a shy purity. And yet it is a flirtish flower too (sile). Loved this little tribute to loveliness. Excellent, Brooke.

See, when you add the authors notes, it takes away the funny line I was going to throw in. Thanks for the wonderful poem and the education about the violet. I think we have some around our garden. We have an array of plants that I have no idea what they are other than the daffodils I know those, and a couple of roses. mstad55

Sometimes when I read your work I get sidetracked by the beauty and have to go back and reread to hear the words and message. This is one of those poems. I find it amazing you can take something so simply as a violet and transform it into a work of art, just like a painting for all to enjoy. Hate to keep repeating myself, but this is truly great work!

Hey adewpearl
Another great little poem about flowers. I love violets also. It was beautifully envisioned and I could see that glorious field of violets. Great job.
Have a nice weekend.

Beautiful wording. I like how you bring the images to life, so that I could imagine the violets blossoming. Very nice.

Brooke, in the country lanes where I walk with my dogs, there are many clumps of pretty violets at this time of year. I've always thought how delicate yet strong they are. A lovely poem here about a singularly lovely little flower.
Warm wishes
