Humorous! LOL
Love the twist in second half.
Yummy breakfast...hmmmm
And great artwork choice to enhance the presentation.
No nits or spags.
Best of luck to you dear Brooke.
Love, rd

A Full Morning
This title suits the theme.
A Septolet
If I remember correctly from your previous notes, there should be 2 different views presented in such a poem other than the 7 lines requirement.
I think the title should be changed to a More Than A Full Morning after the heavy breakfast described in your first verse.
The second verse gives the reverse side of the story after eating, exercise is required, worse you have a physical test so soon after. It appears to be a full morning in terms of a full schedule too.
I hope you got a clean bill of fitness!

The poem was not autobiographical! Yes, you understood the two sections well :-) Thanks, Brooke

"A Full Morning" is an incredibly well written septolet poem. I salivated over that perfectly described breakfast, then cringed at the treadmill test. Well done!

Another great one. Yes we indulge way too much then expect to pass that dreaded test. We set our own selves up and then pay the price. Thanks, Jeanette

Well I was reviewing some book chapters and decided I needed a fun break, so I looked a the poems list and what did I see - a unicorn! No, silly! I saw 'A Full Morning' by adewpearl. So I know I was in for a treat.
The treat turned out to be breakfast and then a stress test - oooh boy.
I think you did an awesome job on this septolet (?) it was very dynamic food wise and then wham - reality check with a heart monitor. We should lay off the cholesterol. I enjoyed this. It was a nice break from chapters - Thank you!

Delightful septolet, Brooke. I love the ironic title -- "A Full Morning" indeed. A friend of mine used to call these breakfasts "the heart attack on a plate" --your clever juxtaposition of treadmill test and heavy breakfast reminded me of that.
Thanks for a smile maker.

Your septolets are brilliant, Brooke. You have gotten the hang of them in aces! This one definitely shows the connection and the opposing side. Eat your waffles and enjoy them for you will pay for it on the treadmill! True to life, this is. Lyla

Barbara, at least around here, people who go into Denny's and House of Pancakes are not ordering oatmeal! :-) Thanks so much, Brooke :-)
