I feel high blood sugar coming on just reading this! Yikes!
My sweet tooth would enjoy such a breakfast, but I would be oh, so sick. Not worth it. No wonder a treadmill test is necessary. ;)
This poem is fun but has a vitally important message. Well done.

Oh yes, absolutely, lets "fortify" ourselves with a good solid breakfast, full of hot cakes and syrup, before the horror of the treadmil "testing" LOL!
You had me laugh out loud on that one. Thank you for the smiles :)

hey, it is a horror when the results come back bad, which I imagine they will for someone eating too many of those breakfasts! :-) Thanks, Brooke :-)

Your septolet was too close to home for me. I think your captured the irony of "our thighs" really well. I think I'll go have a waffle with extra syrup topped with fresh blueberries (my health conscience choice. Great job

Where are my sixes???? I don't have any. Even if I did you would take them all and then they would be gone again...today. Almost fell off my chair laughing at this one. Perfect...not a word out of place.

Dear Brooke,
All sounds wonderful, I love my food...infact I have never tasted anything I dislike(lol) plain greed, I think so.
This sounds my Doctors nightmare, and those that worry about the calories will be breaking out in a sweat. I am the lucky one I love exersizes as much as food, I am a real gym bunny.
Great poem, real food for thought...pardon the pun.
Kind regards
Steve

Simple and nice descriptive poem about a busy morning. I like the structure of this poem and its expressiveness. The nice picture you chose enhances it. kudos

How funny and how so true. Knowing exercise is in the making just know you can work it off. Defeating some kind of purpose except the reward is soo tasty! Cute and to the point. Like the flow and the rythm as well as the imagery here.

Denneys has you numbered. I think the Grand Slamm is about 2500 calories. You may want to hit the treadmill before and after breakfast. But speaking of pancakes and maple syrup. The local Maple Festival is opening the 10th through the 13th with an all you can eat, pancakes, sausage & eggs with plenty of home made maple syrup. Only $6.00 yummee! I'm going to practice this weekend so I can get my money's worth next weekend. Mike

You're going to practice - you tickle my funny bone. I hope you're ready to take one of those treadmill stress tests after a weekend of practicing followed by the actual event!!!
I love homemade maple syrup. And butter. Lots and lots of butter. LOL Thanks, Mike. Brooke :-)
