Learning to forgive yourself for the little things is important to learn and will make life so much easier if you can teach this to Lexi now. Great job

Learning to forgive yourself is so much harder than learning to forgive others, I have learned over the years - it is something I really want to teach her - thanks for reading - jan

Hello again! You're probably tired of hearing from me today. LOL

I'm finally catching up on my reviewing. I've only got a few more pages of my FS inbox to go through. LOL (When I got back from my trip, I had over 40 msg's!)

I really enjoy your letters to Lexi. I'm sure she will too.

Lexi's mom is doing exactly what a good mom does. She worries endlessly and does everything in her power to do what is best for her daughter. She apparently did that when she chose you to be her sitter. :)

The love you feel for Lexi is grand and so evident in your writing.

You are teaching your granddaughter a valuable lesson. "Don't sweat the small stuff." ;)
I like how you ended the letter with humor.
It gave me a chuckle.

Blessings, Jan.
Nic

Never get tired of hearing from you. I'm so far behind on everything due to being overly committed these days, there's no telling when I might catch up again. Thanks for the wonderful review and insights. love, jan

I laughed at your bits of appropriate sarcasm under the circumstances. I was quite amused that when after the two of you were up from your nap, the inculcation into realm of FS began! Why not start'em as young as possible on this addiction? I liked the whimsy of the courthouse situation and your philosophical reaction which you hope to pass on to Lexi at her tender age--a wonderful gift if it takes anytime before she's sixty-five!

i think this is a simply wonderful idea that you are writing a series of letters to your Granddaughter. i really hope that when I become on a grandmother that i am able to do the same thing. You sound like a wonderful grandmother and your daughter should consider herself lucky. I look forward to reading more of your work.

This is such a wonderful series. Having no children, which means no grandchildren, I can live vicariously through your wonderful writing. joan marie

This is such a good idea. It was an interesting read and I'm sure your grandchild will be very pleased that you did this for her when she is old enough to read and understand.

This is building into such a treasury of events for the child to be given when she is older. I am very curious to know why you list it as 'biographical poetry'? I simply love the way you describe your daughter fussing around as if Grandma knows nothing about child rearing. I get that all the time with mine!
No faults, no criticisms.
Warm wishes
Kat

Because fanstory will not let me change it back and forth from poetry to short work within the same book. I suppose since most of it is poetry, evil editing eddie requires it to be done this way. thanks, Kat. love, jan

Hi Jan,
That picture is so sweet and I enjoyed the journey with you and Lexi very much. I must say, you have a great attitude as to your daughter giving you instructions. I know grandmothers who have become very angry over this same situation. I laughed as I thought about an eight-week-old baby being searched. The way adults act toward babies, juggling, waking them, among other things we do, it is a wonder they don't have an inborn memory that allows them to remember these actions causing them to be angry with us. Your story is very well written with a good flow. A pleasure to read. Thank you for sharing and God bless and best wishes!
