Oh gosh ... I finally got my spring weather I've been yearning for and now you make me yearn for the beach! haha
Well, I guess the sand and shells will have to wait until summertime. I'll immerse my thoughts into your lovely display in this poem - It'll be almost like being there.
I love the 'feel' of this poem. I can imagine the waves swirling in and sucking the treasures on the sand back into the vast ocean.
A lovely quatrain, Brooke. I enjoyed the brilliant imagery.

Nic, when I left my apartment this morning at 6 am it had not reached 20 degrees yet and I am now bundled in three blankets, so don't go complaining if you have spring weather!!!!! Thank you so much for your lovely review of a poem no longer promoted. And now, off to bed and even more blankets! :-) Brooke

Wow, Brooke, I absolutely LOVE this! Just as the raging waters spit out fleeting treasures to be harvested quickly, so do the storms and trials of life. They leave us rare and precious gems; not just to look at, but to snatch up and make our own. Just beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing,
heather

I am amazed at how much you can say with so few words.
As always your imagery is of stellar quality, and your words, rhythm and rhyme flow as easily as the tides.
A pleasure to read.
Warm regards,

What can I say, but yet another beautiful masterpiece from you. This is a beautiful descriptive poem and it was a pleasure to read this. I even liked the colors you chose for your background and font. Everything came together harmoniously to give a wonderfully presented poem.

Another superb poem about the treasures of the ocean. The ocean teases us with "rich treasures they deposit,
once hid on ocean's floor." Then, like an Indian giver, reclaims them. The ocean is reluctant to give up her secrets as well as her wonders. Nice work.

Once again your love of the deep blue sea shines out.
Your images are so true...
capturing my imagination, seeing the seashells come, then return to the depths.
Very very well done.

When tides are finished raging
upon the battered shore,
rich treasures they deposit,
once hid on ocean's floor.
If I take your poem into the "world" of emotions...then, when I'm feeling topsy-turvy like today, am I supposed to look for the "rich treasures" usually buried? You make me think about what I might be missing as I wallow in self-pity.
As always, this is an excellently written piece. Rhyme, meter, pefect. Words, well chosen. Thought-provoking, with tons of depth woven in.

You have such a wonderful way with words. Beautiful imagery, lovely rythmn and flow, perfect rhymes. I really enjoyed this lyrical poem of the treasures of the sea that show up on the shore. Excellent job!

Hullo Adewpearl ...
In this short poem, you have written of the delights to be found in the sea and on the shore and I really enjoyed it. The treasures to be found in the wake of the receding tide are always so fascinating.
Thank you for sharing this with us. It is well written and there is nothing to suggest changing.
with love from ... Nanette Mary.

Oh, you made me miss the sea shores that I now live so far from. You drew a picture in my mind and brought forth treasured memories. Thank you.
