I liked the picture and the analogy between the snow and the coldness that can invade someone's soul. Great writing, joan marie

What a shame you missed the deadline! This is a winner if ever I read one. Once again, I can't find anything to pick at or moan about. I love reading your work, you write to such a high standard.
All the best.

Too bad you missed the deadline, this one certainly would've been a contender!
I especially liked the closing stanza. Something about it just spoke to something deep inside, I can't put my finger on it, but there you have it.
Thanks for sharing!
Sincerely,
Lynn Radford

I love your personification of winter. Your words are lovely and bring out your feelings about he climate. I can't imagine living in the cold. But you portray it beautifully. I'd love to see snow again. This is an excellent job.

Creative. Glad you decided to post it. Although, I do like the snow...not necessarily the winter per se. I'm actually hoping spring will come, but snow is in the forecast for Sunday. I liked the line, "You hang around with darkened clouds, then next you sparkle white..." Oh how fresh powder is enticing all sparkly white! Great job here.

great presentation; well written; truthful and thought provoking; not a thing to correct; sorry about the deadline, but it does happen :-) There's always the next one :-) I'm ready for Spring :-)

The only advice that will make sense to me is to head south for the winter!! I bet you have a lot more sunny days up in Maine. With the Great Lakes, we get a lot of cloudy days, which is the worst part of winter. Spring is springing!

Gorgeous sunny days, like today, constantly. We're in the mountains and over the ocean. It doesn't get any more beautiful than this!!

In the mountains and over the ocean!! No wonder you write such lovely things about winter. Plus, nothing but sunny days! I'm the exact opposite. Landlocked, in the flatlands with mostly cloudy days. Yikes!

I liked this poem and its double meaning. It read well and flowed beautifully. A real pleasure to read. The photo was also a good choice.
