A delightful poem through and through. I've bookcased it for future inspiration. How can you improve near perfection? Who am I to make suggestion? However, in the second stanza I would humbly observe: 1st line "the" (too obscure) replace with "God's". 4th line "she'd wear" (who's she) replace with "earth wore". Wonderful, peaceful and clear image. I loved the personification of the waltzing silver bells and the modesty of the may apples. By the way I have walked that same path many times. Rustytool

So beautiful, and with your well descriptive verse, I was walking along the path myself. So peaceful with visions of lace, meadows of flowers and just the way it reads, is so wonderful. Thank you so much for writing this.

This is so beautifully written, I wish I had created it.

All too often, poets leave me puzzled as to exactly where they're going with their story and the meaning they are trying to convey.

That certainly doesn't apply in this case. Excellent writing... the kind I admire.

Cheers, Jack

Beautiful projection of flower images. Rhyming pattern was such that the poem flowed quite well and was easy to read. The fifth stanza provided just a touch of mystery as I wondered why there was a need for human warmth when surrounded by the beauty of nature. Excellent poem and fun to read aloud.

A delightful poem. Well written. I'm not sure whether "home" and "alone" are true rhymes. Very visual, "makes you feel good" poem. I like your use of "poetic" words and consistent syllable count. I think it is exceptional. Do you use a rhyming dictionary?

They are not true rhymes, but in all my poetry I often employ near rhymes and I love near/slant rhymes in the work of some of my favorite poets. :-) Thanks so much for this most generous review, and yes, I consult a rhyming dictionary quite often :-) Brooke

What a lovely poem, so rhythmic free flowing and descriptive. Pictorially I can feel the suns radiance dancing off the trees and caressing the grass. If words can conjure up a poet then Wordsworth appears to shine from the page.
