The opening scene when she realizes how beautiful her mother is and how she appreciates the beauty of the flowers she tends shows the speaker is remarkably able to see more about her mother than the resentment of her failure to protect her children from sexual abuse. It is truly moving to see this young woman able to move beyond her own resentment to recognize this woman has other dimensions. And then Mom agrees to sending her away, and that beautiful woman again becomes the hag who has failed her - that is MOST effective.

Thanks, I fixed the errors...don't know where all the ?'s are coming from...I need a lesson on using their editor. Again, thanks for your help.

It's pretty good. Is this included in your book? Or is this just a short story? There's one little thing, in the line that starts: "I will never understand why people need God to tell... I think you meant "them" instead of then. That's it. Nicley done.

Yes it is part of the boor but I chose to make it a brief descripton of a period of time I spent living with relatives. As I said in the comments after, this could be a separate book in itself, but didn't want to spend time when the primary subject was the abuse and how it affected me. I caught the then...and chnged it to them. Thanks for the review.
