Your poem is well written and the message is nicely presented while keeping within guidelines. It was my pleasure to read. I found no errors here. Good luck. Ahhh, that first kiss!

I LOVE IT!!! And to think it's an actual memory of yours makes it all the more beautiful. All the words you choose are so perfect in telling your story and I really like this technique of poetry. I'm going to learn this!
Thanks for sharing :)

How wonderful and so romantic, Brooke. I loved the Doors and Jim Morrison's baby face. Music does that--takes us right back to the place in our memory. Great poem!

Great nostalgia for me, your poem says a lot of about young love, first kisses, and memories that music of the time bring. Your poems bring to mind memories and cause me to ponder about things. Thanks,
eric

Eric, we all have memories - I love to have readers connect with mine because of the common experiences we share, and music is often part of that experience! Brooke

Excellent. What a beautiful memory. Wow, and to marry the one who gave your first kiss.
Great "minute" poem. Good flow.

Brilliant writing and the art work is superb with the kissing lips. I am not sure who kissed me for the first time.
That was a long time ago.
I have had plenty of kisses since.

Brooke,
Memories captured in poetry are memorialized forever, just like they are ingrained in our minds and hearts.
This was a very personal and passionate glimpse...
Your best minute, if you ask me.
Thanks for sharing and best of luck to you in the contest.

Your choice of colours and the artwork compliment your poem and give it life. I thought your poem of memories was so well written, if we didn't have memories like this, life would be so dull. Nicely done.

David - I was already in love with him before this first date started - I was a goner by the time of the kiss!! LOL Thank you, and I'm glad you love that song too! Brooke

Between your poem and author notes, Brooke, I was getting teary eyed. How romantic. Also the poem, which by-th-way, was beautifully executed, reminded me of fogged up windows with my boyfriend in high school, who I also married at 19, but we were divorced when I hit 21. Of course, now been married 42 years, so something to be said for second time around. Anyway, this poem brought a flood of memories. Not sure kids do that in cars anymore. I am so clueless where they go now, only know they do it much younger than we did. Great job of letting your reader wonder in thoughts of the past. Joyce

My marriage lasted 13 years. This was only a kiss this night!! It was the dead of winter, our first date, and we were both wearing bulky winter coats LOL Yes,kids start much younger - I had a pregnant 7th grade student 10 years ago. Thanks for letting me know this brought back your memories, too! Brooke
