Aw, cute little bird, the Cardinal. No wonder they use the name and the colours in the Vatican City Only the males are brightly colored eh? A masquerade party! Poem made me smile.

I like what your poem has to say about the cardinal. They're one of my favorite birds. I was obseving a few
the other day, and I felt a peace, looking at those beatiful birds. Your author notes were very informative.

Sue,

you pretty well described this beautiful bird. I'm fortunate in there are millions of them down here. We have families of them living around my house and we get to witness them each spring as they teach the young where food is found and enjoy seeing them daily. great writing

Awwwwww.....how sweet! So cool you get to see the families together doing their daily rituals. What a joy. We have a lot up here in Ohio, but I don't see them in the numbers you get to. Isn't nature wonderful. Thanks for your great review, Reggie (and so glad your feeble mind grasped this "hoo-koo") :-)) Sue

This is a nice poem of the 5-7-5 type. It is well written. The three lines actually make meaning. The mention of masquerade brings out the meaning of the poem. kudos

Excellent haiku with a beautiful nature theme and great word usage. As always you dressed it up in perfect colors and author notes. Great job.

I never saw a cardinal until I visited my oldest son in the Chicago area. They are an impressive bird.

Your 5-7-5 haiku is well done and enjoyable.

Beak-to-beak is good.

I love this poem. I wished that we had those birds in utah, but I'm happy to see the blue jays. What a great little poem. Good job.
