That is a sweet picture that you 'painted' for us to see!
Who doesn't like to have a wee baby asleep against our shoulder, with their rosebud lips, ocassionally pursing them, as they sleep?
this poem is so endearing ... so well written
thank you, Janice

Another sweet 5-7-5 in your series. I very much enjoyed your use of alliteration in this one. You found a terrific picture to illustrate your poem.

Cindy sleeps on my shoulder now and then, too. she'll never get too old for me to allow that. love, jan

jan,
LOL i am glad to hear this. my daughter tells me she will still want to sleep close by me when she is forty. i do see a different attachment that i have with her than my mom and me. maybe its the age. i had my daughter when i was forty. my mom was twenty when they adopted me. huge difference.
love,
barbara

Your words say it all, proud grammy. My first grandchild is a Lexi (Alexandra) too. LOvely presentation and snug is the perfect word for what you described. Great job. Joyce

This is a very short but sweet poem written for your grand baby. It's crazy how much joy a little baby can bring to ones life just by cuddling

What a peaceful, gentle poem!
A sweet poem for a sweet sleeping baby.
Bonding time for an infant is so important - it helps shape them for life.
No nits.
Beautiful.
