I think the poem is very cute and I love your dog! The photo of Ruby behind the wine glass is fantastic. Thank you for thinking of her ... Yer aces, doll! Lea Ann

Wow! I never expected a review. Oliver is a good by, and despite what they say about Beagle, kept a door handle jiggling bad guy out with that bark. Got a screw driver out of the deal. LOL

I love this review and thank you for it and the compliments... Awe shucks. When I thought about htis poem, I had Hugh Hefner in mind and wahted to present Oliver in the lap of luxergy. Usually I'm the lap of his luxergy. I love considering human nature via the dogs nature. There is just one other though, which was an entry for the horror poetry, that wasn't a horror. It has a nice photograph, but I don't advise you to tease a dog with their biscuit and the sticking in your mouth as you take the photo. That one is:

mike, this is a fun and interesting perspective!! I enjoyed your playful banter with this one...dogs, haha..love the hounds, they are part human you know? Well, yours certainly seems quite content and full of charm...with a splash of "oh, must we do this again, I am wonderful, but enough with the pics, really, you humans" haha..have a great day, dear friend, much love twomoon

I know! You see things through the eyes of the cat! This peom comes from the standpoint that there are different behaviors and rationalizations and not enough time to train him to see mine. lol

I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. Mike

If you ask me, the dog sounds smarter than the master - who wants to go out in all that snow?? LOL a hot toddy, a cuddle and nap sound so much better!! Lots of fun, Brooke

What more could the average male want! lol We got hit with snow and rain, I wondered the same thing myself. I shoveled three hundred feet of ice glazing of the sidewalk and almost an entire sidewalk. One of the bosses helped for fifteen minutes and commented that he will be here all day and doesn't want to sweat. Well for me, it removed any notion that my chest pains were from corenary artery disease. lol

I am very glad that you enjoyed this and thank you very much for your compliments and this review. Mike

Awwwww Mike, this is just a delightful composition. I adore the way you put yourself in the dog's frame of mind. Also love the picture and the picture of Ruby Jane too! Adorable through and through. Hugs, Sara ~

Unless your the, "Master," who is actually well trained. He is a champ and never stops giving love and trying to convince me that I haven't fed him. Thank you so much for stopping by, the compliments and this review. Hugs, Mike

Jim Morrison of the doors on American Prayer, does a song called, "Bird of Prey!" It is done as a native American chant but in English. You kind of come to mind. I vision myself doing the, "Perfect Poem," and with your eagle eys swooping down and eviscerating me and my poem. LOL

Actually I appreciate this very much and thank you for it and your review. I did fix it's, but in my area it is refered to as busting out, but the meaning is the same. Please have a great day! With love, Mike

Very cute piece Mike. Oh these cold days are hard for everyone, most especially our pets! I can't get my cat Nelson outside, but then he gets so angry at me, as if it's all my fault that it's cold and snowy!! Well done. I enjoyed this very much. Have you heard from Lea Ann lately?

No. Not hearing from Lea Ann upsets me. I love the cold days, but in Baltimore it always seems to be changing that the gooses are stuck in mid air. My cat is pissed at me, he really hurt his front leg last week and had me worried to death, but I can't keep him in my room to heal. Now is is only about 1/4 hobbled. Thank you very much for your compliments and this review. Mike

You found the double-entendre'. Thank you very much for the compliments and this review. Always glad to provide a smile. I would put a barrel on him like a Saint Bernard, but he would drink the stuff while I was burried in the snow. Take care.

Not nice to do that. Teach him to use a box of litter. Cute poem, easy to read with good cadence and rhyme. I enjoyed reading to out load. Very well done.

To him, the litter box is a totsie roll treat. In fact, I wonder why the litter box seems clean, one of the cats go in front of him for a treat to gleam! Yuk! I really appreciate the compliments and this review.

This is a cute poem, Mike, and Oliver looks so comfy wrapped in his blankie and a glass of wine to sip--that'll warm the bugger right up. LOL I enjoyed this and the last line is a clincher!
Smiles,
Indy :>)

He really wasn't and pet photography was as bad as the child photography was. I had to put a bowl of treats out on the table and that was a battle of wills to get that photograph. I wanted a Hugh Heffner apearence for this one. I really shouldn't have him, but he provides love and comfort in the nights. I thank you very much for the compliments and this review. Oh, just a few drops of wine will make him sneeze too. But no more!
Have a great week ahead! Mike

I have lots of dogs and can certainly relate to the story. Stanzas four and five seemed a little too long for my own taste. I guess because of the rhyme and meter of the first three, it felt the others should fall in line. That, of course, is just my own hangup.
