What a novel idea, both for a contest, and for your own entry. A very amusing entry, and you've told it very well too! Good luck in the contest, Elaine

Fine piece of poetry, very fun to read. The wolf seems to be the popular villain in this batch. Little Red always ticked me off.
Thank you for sharing & good luck in the contest.

Ah Brooke, I was voting for the contests and stumbled across this beauty. I feel so sorry for this poor wolf. Shame to be tricked like that and land up in the grave. Your story is beautiful and the flow and rhyme of your poem perfect. Well written.

All the best for the contest. luv jada

Ah, the poor big bad wolf. I really like your take on this. It's always those sweet little girls in red hoods who can get away with anything - with just one flash of their oozing charm:). An excellent entry. All the best in the contest,
Heather

What a fun characterization of your villain from Red Riding Hood. And you get extra credit for doing it in a rhyming poem! Great job. Good luck.

Great witty humor in this, Pearl. Captures the villain wolf's side of the story very well. I see we both took the "wolf" route in this contest. Hope that doesn't split our votes!
Good job,
~ Rhein

Oh, there are other wolf ones too! You're right - wolves are often the villain LOL Thanks for your positive review, Rhein.
As for the contest, I've come in second in about the last half dozen I entered, so I'm really not counting on victory.
It was just fun to write :-D Brooke

Pearl, this is terrific. The story's so good ... and in the form of a poem no less! I'm glad the contest allowed prose, too. Super job!

Brooke, I apologize for the name switch. It must be that annoying sleep deprivation "thingy." Sorry!

LOL - this is too funny!

Well I guess all the jails are filled with innocent people, so it's only fitting that the folk tale villain should get his say too :)

One little nit - 4th stanza, 3rd line you need a space between that and I.

Thanks for the chuckle.

What an imaginative tale of Little Re Riding Hood. Our wolf plays on the "Hood" part to show us she's no angel.
PROS:
Well written remake of an old tale, told from the other side. Humorous. Well done!
SPAG:
None I found.
