I was in the mood for a good laugh, so I checked the seal of quality under humour. It led me to this wonderfully written limerick. Very well done- Sam

it has perfect limerick inflection, which some found hard to do- it is extremely funny, and the humor is risque, which is typical for limericks - well done, Brooke

Thanks so much Brooke! Looking at the comments in the voting booth, it appears a lot of voters are quite offended by the risque factor, which is surprising given that limericks are, as you say, laden with witty bawdiness! I've read quite a few before having a go at this one and 90% are very risque indeed! Again, thanks so very much my friend xooxoxoxo

Nicely done! I loved the implied story and the image brought a smile to my face. Good limerick humor -- Thanks for sharing.

You've done a smashing job here, especaially for a first stab at a limerick. Great flow and rhyme and a clever theme with humor. Great job. Good luck.

For a first stab at limericks, you've stabbed very well, Paca. All the mechanics are there as well as the wit and humor.

That's officially the only contest entry thus far that's actually made me laugh out loud. It's in the proper tradition, and I like the additional rhymes littered throughout. You have my vote, Ms Alpaca.

Oops! When you fiddle with the wrong people, life changing things can happen. I can't believe this is your first limerick. This is hilarious. When you said Russell, I immediately thought of Russell Crowe! What a great contest entry. Best of luck with this Andy-Mandy rhyme. It is a winner! Blessings to you, Linda

One should always be careful who one fiddles with, eh? Funny, I never thought of Mr Crowe, but our own Russel Chale sprung to mind strangely enough! thanks so much, as always Linda, for your encouragement. But methinks yours will carry the banner; it's a beauty! xoxooxoxo

LOL. I looked at this contest but nothing limericky came to mind. I'm currently distracted with longer stories and back to work blues. Good luck Mylady of Limerick.

Good ole' back to work blues ... can't say I miss them really; though sometimes I'd like to escape being dumped with those jobs no-one else has the time for (or doesn't want to do)! Thanks so much my friend; glad you enjoyed my first limerick xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo PS: Mylady ... I like the sound of that ...

I love limericks. Don't write them often but this is going to be one hard contest to vote on. I plan on reading this one. Great entry. joan marie
