A traditional nature haiku. This is very good. Reminds me of a special I watched about the singing sands of the deserts. Unfortunately pollution is slowly killing their song. joan marie

Well, another grat entry for a contest here at FS. You've done great so far, and this is a lovely haiku. Beautiful job. I'm new here, too, so we're learning together. Good luck.

I like this Haiku. When I read it, your words took my right to that sand dune and I could actually smell the dust. Great job, good luck in the contest. judy

Dust storms coming in are ominous. I was in one as a chld of nine. Sitting on a train in Clovis, New Mexico, the air became permeated with sand and dust. It was like we were in a box, separated from reality. Excellent imagery in this haiku. Best of luck in the contest. Blessings, Linda

Hello Sue! A very enjoyable picture that paints a vivid picture. Makes me want to put on my sunglasses and find an oasis somewhere.
Best of luck.

This was a great contest, and your haiku fits the strict rules and format required,
I love the images created in your words, with a strong satori, making the whole idea strong.
Very well done.

I'm just going through the contest entries and I love this one. Your imagery is great and the colour you used adds to this. I love how you used the alliteration. You've done a great job. Best of luck.

Warm regards.

Roisin

Thanks Roisin! A lot of stiff competition in this one. I really love working with haiku. Takes a lot of practice, though! Appreciate your very kind review. :-)) Sue

This is very good, Sixteezkid. I like the satori in this one - you've done that well. I also like the image of the sands shifting at winds command - excellent! All the best in the contest,
Heather
