This goes very nicely to the tune of "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." I like it a lot.
++ Grief-struck hearts with no belief,
++ Vanquished be your doubts and fear,
Nice Christmas message. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Brooke,
Thought I would have a quick read before my milky drink and off to bed...And what a treat, your words never fail to bring pleasure.
I read authors notes, It never ocurred to me there may be fewer people on FS in the holidy period, think I must have a new addiction for this site (lol).

Several people I know are off to visit children or just off on a holiday trip - and others are women with five kids, their spouses and grandchildren descending on their house for the week!! Thanks so much for your lovely review, Brooke

Grief-struck hearts with no belief,
Embraced now by blessed relief.
It would be wonderful if all the non-believers would wake up one morning and believe. In something. I don't care if they find Buddha or Christ, as long as they find themselves in awe.
This poem is cheerfully hopeful. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Hi Brooke,
You've done well with entire series of acrostic poetry. I suspect you're correct in your assumption that many people are out and about; not reading or writing on FS. I've read many, if not all, of the series you posted. They have all been entertaining and well-done. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Merry Christmas, Brandon!! Thank you for your enthusiastic response :-) Hope all the schoolwork went well :-)
-
yes it did go well, i got a C on my chemistry final :(, but that is relatively good seeing as i got the fourth highest grade in the class! chemistry is a rough class, and it isn't exactly my speciality, but i am happy with the results. i aced the rest of my finals, so studying paid off. oh and i got a 98% on my english final, the result of only missing one question.
this was the question:
give the definition of antediluvian.
i wrote: an atiquity dating before biblical times
the correct answer: an item or antiquity from before the great flood.
so i know where i went wrong, but there is no leniency on tests that big. oh well.
but any ways other than that life has been pretty good.
hope you have a merry christmas, and get lots of presents today!
-
98% is pretty damned good even if you didn't get before the flood right! As for chemistry - sounds like one tough teacher for your grade to be fourth best - my philosophy is that if that many students don't do well, something must be wrong with the way the material was taught! Congratulations on doing so well - hope Santa rewards you :-)
-
thank you, but my chemistry teacher's philosophy is pretty much have the students teach themselves. it sucks.
-
thank you but my chemistry teacher has the students teach themselves, it is tough.
-
teach yourselves? Yikes - that does sound tough!!
-
yes it is

Very nice. Only one comment/question which I assume I am wrong about: Is it trumpeters or trumpeteers? I'm not sure, but you're the teacher so I'll assume you are right.
Congrads on finishing four poems! Merry Christmas

I had a grand time writing all four - I know trumpeters checks out okay, but maybe the other one is okay too. Thanks so much, Brooke :-)
