This is worthy of a six, but alas, I do not have one. It is so poignant and melodic, with softly stressed less-ness-ess and internal rhyming. The musicality of every line is exquisite, and the longing so expressively expressed is tangible and full of pathos.

Lovely presentation.

Bravo- kudos.

Love, rd

Oh you are such a beauty, that less-ness-ess is what I'm waiting to get hit on from some. I love the sound of them but I'm sure I'll have at least one reviewer who doesn't feel they work as solid rhymes, but we shall see. Must get to your work I've missed today. Been a little lax on the reviewing end. Love you and have a blessed night.

Now in the end my sanguine dream must bleed.
--I really liked this line, especially "sanguine dream must bleed."

Enjoyed the poem, good job.

As the song almost says "Don't know much about poetry..." but, still I can tell this is good. It gave me goosebumps. Of course, it gave me goosebumps because it reminded me of all that poetry reading stuff we has to go through in tenth grade. I figure, since that was great poetry, and this poem reminded me of that, then this might be great poetry, too.

(One wonders if Aristotle just rolled over in his grave after that strained syllogism.)

If I hadn't made it clear, let me be blunt. Technical issues of Spenserian Sonnets aside, the words you have chosen evoke the era, and that, I believe, is the most important testament to good writing.

I hope this helps and good luck.

Excellently done. Shakespearean sonnets are so beautiful and you captured the essence well. The lyrical words made me feel like I could hear the sweet sound of a violin playing.
