Brooke, can not believe you have not written many acrostics as you have such a talent for it. You make it look so easy. Another beautifully penned piece that I found a joy to read. k

I've never heard that Christmas carol. I like acrostics but have not written one in a long time. You did a good job with this one, and I commend you for your message of peace and goodwill.

Luna *smile*

This is only the second acrostic I've written, a few days after my emily dickinson first one - I never liked them much until I read some good ones on this site. Thank you for your gracious review, Brooke

A nice acrostic piece. It flowed smoothly like a song. The Christmas message is amply present in every line of the poem. The rhyming is well done. i DID NOT SEE ANY FORCRD RHYME OR SPAG TO CORRECT. KUDOS.

Still. When the silence of the lamb can not be heard because of the hurried crowds rushing for this and for that, the meaning of Christmas is lost. We all need that moment when we can hear the still of the night and have a moment of lying quiet to search our souls and find the peace that passes understanding. That's what it's all about. I can't wait for the joyous noisey ones yet to come. Excellent. mstad55

This was absolutely lovely. It is no wonder that it made All Time Best. I was away for a few days and I missed reading the words of such talented people as yourself.

This is a truly beautiful acrostic. It's quite impressive that you were able to come up with three, distinct and meaningful stanzas with the same beginning letters in each one. Plus you keep a great rhyme scheme! Your words and phrases are well chosen, full of imagery and sensory details. Great job :)

thank you so much - I chose this carol because of the challenge it posed as well as for the sound of the title, which entranced me - Brooke
