This is true art. I was first struck by the beautiful image that accompanies this poem and was delighted to find that it was an original by you. It lends such a haunting mood to this poem.

And the mood that the subject matter sets is excellently complemented by the minimal use of words to convey the meaning. Actually, for a theme such as autism, the number of words being so less magnifies the meaning more.

Great job and all the best to your daughter.

Simple painting, simple words. Your poem expresses your interpretation of a highly misunderstood malady that affects so many people. Having a friend with four autistic children has enlightened my thinking and your poem has placed your daughter's fate in the sunshine of keening knowledge. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Sixteezkid,
Fabulous! I love the picture, you have great talent as I see it is your own composition. It complements the poem very well. This tetractys form is wonderful for the message you have conveyed about autism. I'm guessing your daughter is very musical? I found this to be a wonderful piece and would never have guessed that it was your first attempt. I see nothing to change and have no suggestions for you. Thank you for sharing, mamaboots

This work has reached the exceptional level

Dear Kid,

You have described the heartbreak of autism extremely well. How do we connect with those who don't respond? The mind is a very complex entity, even in those who are so called normal.

Warm regards,

Winslow

This is excellent Sixteezkid. I am a teacher and I come across Autisism all the time. I understand completely what it is about but how can you understand their world when we are not always there? I think your poem is a true winner.

My brother has autism too and there are so many different levels of autism that the children are very misunderstood. Lovely poem!
