kudos to the rythm and flow of this wonderful poem... i know that this style of poetry(which name escapes me at the moment) can be very difficult to write and i think youve got it down.

thank you - I've written a bunch of them on this site - there is a series of animal poems and two other literary ones - the gift of the magi and lady macbeth - they are challenging but loads of fun I never remember the name of the form either - I'm not a huge fan of forms LOL Thanks so much, Brooke

Hullo Adewpearl ...
I enjoyed reading yet another of your A - Z pieces of free-thought writing as well as your very interesting and informative notes at the end.
There is nothing that I would suggest changing and I thank you for sharing this with us.
With love from .... Nanette Mary.

Thank you yet again for another gracious review, Brooke

You're really good at these. This power of this one grows at it goes along and the form is (rightly) subjugated to the message, leaving us with a cruelly clear imgage of the subject. Good write. >W<

Wow! That picture choice is very vibrant and powerful. It really pops out at the reader.
This was another great installment of your A-Z poems.

This was another one where I searched for the picture - I tried figurines and unicorns and many other things. Thanks again for another lovely review, Brooke

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight abooooooout heah . . .
Peculiar
phobic
quiet
reticent
shy
suitorless spinster.
Splintered,
shattered
spirit.
Timid,
trembling,
terrified.
Unearthly unicorn valuer -
withdrawn,
x-iled.
X-amine your
zoo.
. . .the poem stops being a cohesive, readable whole, and kinda turns into a grocery list.
I'm calling you on it because I've seen what you can do with the form, and I know you can do better, especially since you're working from an establisehd story you clearly love a great deal.
Good, but not up to your usual with this form.
(Still gonna give ya' a fiver.)

Wow. I have missed these abcedarian pieces and this is good. It makes me want to see the version you recommend, and I particularly like the admonishment/challenge in the last few lines. Well done! :)

A brilliant photograph that sets your poem off beautifully. I wonder how many lonely people can relate to your poem? So many brilliant minds shattered, so many timid people caged, so many bi-polar and savantes misunderstood. Thank you for sharing your version of the play. Excellent.

What a lovely response - and yes, that is one of the beauties of Williams - he always explored the fragile people in the world, of whom there are so many. His work is timeless and universal, and I am so happy you think I did him justice. Thank you, Brooke

Wonderful, from A to Z. I honestly don't see how you do it. It would boggle my mind, for sure. Thank you for a preview of the movie. Maybe I'll take a look-see.

I remember seeing this movie as a young girl and I fell in love with all the characters. Your poem is a wonderful tribute to the power of the play, Brooke. I need to see the Malkovich version...he's so cool.

He is super cool - a stage actor who founded his own Steppenwolf Theater group with Gary Sinis - they are both far superior in that media than tv shows and silly movies :-) Thanks so much, Brooke

Brooke,
A well written and simplistic (for the reader) form of "The Glass Menagerie" you have penned for us to read. Particularly like your closing.
X-amine your
zoo.
