This truly is gorgeous. From Red rose divine.... to Your petals died, as our discarded youth. I was breathlessly caught up.
And then your final closing couplet
Red rose, your wisdom will transcend the Time
All wrapped in passion, clover, sage and rhyme.
completely summed up all that had come before.
Lovely work :-)

yeltel--This challenging genre is an excellent vehicle for
scribe's bitter-sweet lament: life, love and beauty share
the same pitfalls as the rose; never smooth sailing without
some bumps and bruises or worse. The twist/turn in line #9
indicates the duality of protagonists "sweet-folly:"
"We found each other through your mystic charm
A symbol of our souls' unspoken truce;
Alas, we failed to hear your soft alarm,
Your petals died, as our discarded youth."
By overlooking jusxaposition, relationship suffered the same
fate as the rose. In the ending couplet, speaker
gives iconic flora much praise:
"Red rose, your wisdom will transcend the Time
All wrapped in passion, clover, sage and rhyme."
This serves as both an excellent summation and gives the
poem a sense of finality. Well done. I enjoyed my read.

Wonderful display of thought and wisdom as a voice from the many that have never seen a recon of truth for the day they slave under the view from the star we call our sun....

What an excellent poem that was and so very evocative. I love roses and can't tell you how many times these thoughts cross my mind.
"Your petals are still beautiful at dawn
But not for long, so frail your earthly spree."
Excellent, and thank you for sharing.

You are truly in your element with Sonnets. This one is no exception. I liked the whole poem, but my favourite lines were:
Alas, we failed to hear your soft alarm,
Your petals died, as our discarded youth.
Ah yes, youth does die, as do the petals of the rose.

Very nicely written with such ease . Emotions are aroused through your carefully chosen words and imagery is quite vivid. Picture accents your work well, but your words says it all:)
