silence is a language all of its own and it is often what we need more of so that when we do speak we are more intelligent. wonderful thought...yours, diana

Oh, no! I thought this was going to be a happy reunion story. Long lost lvoers reunited by the waterfront. Instead we have long lost lovers, but one does not "see" the love who used to be. How sad. The poem does speak to how we change. Some of us change inside and out, unrecognizable to anyone who knew us when. Others of us never change, never let go. I think I prefer the change, for that is a natural part of growing.

What I like about this poem is that it makes us think about aging, change, remembering...

This is a good poem. I loved the picture and the font colors. I didn't see anything that could be changed. Keep up the good work. :)

A beautiful piece of poetry that held my attention from start to finish.

I could sense both the inner conflict and the relief in this free-flowing piece where sentiment and emotion ebbed and flowed in harmony.

Wonderful writing.

Boy this one really resonates for me. The undertone is quiet calm which reveals so much about the speaker. Isolation and invisibility can be so harmful to children, and too often placed back in the same settings, they revert to the self-loathing that shaped their lives. This one shows the trepidation of returning to the past, but, for me, she had the strength to overcome its shortcomings. Beautifully written. DBL

Ah, Mrs. KT! This is lovely ... a measured pace, read aloud as suggested, enhances this telling work of growth, calm, and a reassuring, not insensate, void. Silence: no pitter-patter - no tears - no obligatory grin - just comfort in silence at water's edge.
My Friend, your work continues to build on a plateau that edifies free verse.

Simply outstanding.
D.

quirky grins and unbridled whoops of genuine laughter and long held cameraderie - read aloud that is just gorgeous in both sound and meaning - what a lovely mood you create in this most thoughtful piece!
