Brooke,
This is fabulous!
This lovely, witty poem makes me want to read the Freddy series. I read a lot as a child, (as well as now) but have never heard about Freddy the pig. :)

This poem has a fun flavor. The description and imagery is superb.

Great work! No revisions - this is a masterpiece.
little nit in your notes - (I noticed you spelled Freddy with an 'ie') lol
~Blessings,
~Nic

Are you not a sweetheart to review a non-promoted work. Thank you, and find yourself a Freddy book to read. I reread about 8 of them recently and had a grand old time! Brooke

A brilliantly executed (as I have come to expect from you, young lady!) ode to a childhood hero. For myself, it was the Mr Men books, as they were coming out when I was little, and once each week my Grandad would walk down to the local shops with me to buy one, then we'd go back home and he'd read it to me, and I'd read it back to him. An earlly memory that one!

And once again you manage to stimulate a memory within me. For that more than anything else, I thank you Brooke.

I liked this poem. I thought the title was kind of funny. Other than that, though, it is good and I didn't see any mistakes in it.

How is Freddy the Pig a funny title? LOL He was my bestest friend when I was little - let's not be making fun of him!
    Thank you, Brooke :-)

I was not making fun of him or of the title. I just found it funny. A matter of opinion and I didn't mean any disrespect at all.

Delightfully nostalgic, Brooke, and making the reader understand why this character had such an influence on your life. This is just one of many occasions when we've been treated to the roots from which you've grown. Peter

Love this...your explanation shed some light on the subject, then I re-read the poem. I'm not familiar with the Freddy series, so that helped. Being a former elementary school teacher, I can really appreciate the power of books and the positive impressions they can leave on us. Your poem is well written and describes your memory well. Good work.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, views, concept, and learning with the rest of us.
I found this to be lighthearted full of many adventures of Freddy and his amazing exploits. It is well worded and expressed and has a good flow and rhythmn.
Personally, have never read any of Walter R. Brooks' books or any of Freddy's adventures, but from what you have shared, it looks like I may have missed out on quite an adventurous pig and the journey of learning he imparted upon those who read of his exploits. Your poem has done well to give life to this character and to instil a wonder about Freddy.
Thanks and many blessings to you
