what a gorgeous write. I didn't know you were still posting on fanstory. I better fix that. lol

I LOVE YOUR BIO PICTURE and congratulations on your book. I must buy one!

This write is perfectly done. Of course your meter and rhyme stand out above the rest and the message comes through loud and clear. It leaves me meloncholy and reflective but it's a good thing.

Good to see you again.

You know me and I do not easily give out a six... I grudgingly give fives... and I am not doing this as a close friend... I am very deeply struck by this piece... at this moment in this time - perfectly written. A marvelous read which I loved. Smooth, with gorgeous imagery. Great Job! -Mike

Thank you, dear friend. You didn't need to do that, I just wanted you to read it because I think you and I think alot alike in that area and I knew you would be touched by it. Love you always, JL

A soulful plea you pose. I suspect the Maker is well aware of our cries for peace, yet man is still a primitive species. He kills. That must end before we can evolve in spirit.

Very good.

It's not so much peace but a plea that the people primitive or not, recognize his presence. Thank you for the kind words.

Hi Dawn,

Very well-written poem. You only have one rhyming pair that are not true rhymes & that's the first pair, missed and adrift. Those are pretty far off, you might want to find a better pair.

Other than that, it's a nice poem.

smiles,

deb

Thank you, Deb. I actually knew those were there and I'm not one to play inside the box. That's a tight slant rhyme so much in fact that you are the only one who even mentioned it. I usually won't use just one of those in a piece but this particular one called for it that way. Thanks again, appreciate your keen eye and ear.

Dawn of Tomorrow,

I really like the rhyme and flow of this pretty sonnet. One of the nicest spiritual poems I've had the pleasure of reading.

Good job and good luck.

Hullo Dawn ...

This is a very beautiful and heart-felt Prayer, the
sentiments of which we should all be offering each and every day as the world situation is deteriorating and more and more of God's Laws are being broken - legally and
otherwise.
There is just one suggestion to make ...
When writing about God, words such as Thy, Thee, Thine
should all be given capital letters whereas you have them all in lower-case ... thy, thee, thine.
Thank you for sharing this with us. You might like to read the poem which I wrote and posted on the 16th of
September titled "The World United In Prayer."
With love from .... Nanette Mary.

Thank you Nanette Mary for your most gracious review. I'm not sure I agree with the thy, thee thine thing though, but I'll check into that. I will also try to get over and read your work. God Bless.

I also joined this contest and I think I have to raise the white flag after reading your entry...haha. Anyway, the way you wrote this poem as a prayer is very inspiring and soothing to the heart. Great job!

I wish I had a six star review left for this poem. It is very moving in it's truth. I pray every day that we have not sinned so much that God might abandon us. Seems we have forgotten who our Maker is and what He expects of us. Excellent contest entry. I cannot see why this would not win. Blessings, Linda

I pray that too, and for his mercy upon this land, but every day he is pushed aside, if we continue to forsake him thus he will us and then the world will have free access to this nation. Thank you for your understanding review, it is very much appreciated.
