This poem is a poet's poem. It creeps inside of the mind of what a writer is thinking, and what they want to convey on the page that hopefully will mean something to someone else. There are a lot of details and images in the poem that touch the heart and soul of the reader. ann

Well, writing poetry was actually an act of desperation as the stories themselves were convincing people that I was crazy. The one unexpected thing was, I felt an obligation to poetry itself and have penned several poems either to, or expressing what poetry has done for me. Keeps the fire burning in your soul;
moves you through life, taking no toll.
Conjures up only the very best of dreams;
preventing nightmares, silencing screams.

Yes, some effects are lasting and indelable, never to be forgotten. It touched me that someone went through my portfolio and left their fingerprints upon the spine. I felt that sharing it once again is the least that I can do. Thank you very much for your compliments and this review. Mike K2

Mike - I thought that this was a lovely poem. I especially liked the lines:
"A life inspiring suite that becomes your song;
or a gentle whisper that helps you trudge along."
Masterful imagery and the artwork ended up being very close to perfect.

Exactly what I meant. I don't often write romance. Hasn't been a big part of my life. I have written a few about someone I can't seem to put the flame out on. Beautifully written. jm

Excellent imagery. The poet's love for the beloved is apparent. The poem flows quite well. The subtle rhyme scheme is well utilized. I like the alliteration of "pen a poem."

I was thinking of the conscientiousness and dedication of the framers of the Declaration and Constitution. Sort of that feeling of responsibility. I appreciate the review and compliments very much and thank you for them.

No, I explain that I use K2 as both symblogy related about the mountain and also about the movie, which is more about friendship and never leaving the other. It is also about a change of heart. I love the stories that members have here. It is a great thing that you daughter had such an oppertunity. You also have a great year ahead. Mike
