When we are conceived dear Brooke the chart pretty much has been written by the genetic gene pool of our ancestry.
Modern science now has unlocked the gene and can through test pretty much predict who will get cancer, heart conditions, liver etc. But theres no warranty or guarantee. I like you had rather not know and just live a day one moment at a time. One of my favorite thoughts that formulated in my mind is about time. It goes, I need no time, I need no clock, all I need is for them to stop,
Let's put them on the block, release the guilotine, chop, chop chop. No more ticking, no more tocking, a whole new world we may be unlocking. I enjoyed reading this brilliant poem immensely. Will

Will, you are making my day by reviewing favorites from my portfolio. Not all that many people review unpromoted work, especially when the author didn't even ask them to. I am in your debt for being such a lovely person. Peace, Brooke

Hey Brooke, it is I who is indebted to you. I enjoy reading good poetry.
There are only a hand full on here that I truly feel are not forcing words just to create something to earn points in this game. I am not on here for that, but just to read and share thoughts. I also find few on here who really get into the poem, digest the the thoughts, ideas , feelings the poet is trying to convey. They seem to be going to and fro in haste, what for? I have read a lot of yours and commented on just a few. I hope you don't mind. I going to read your book on reviewing. Thanks for the compliment, it's just further reflects a good hearted person.
With highest regards, Will.

It think at any site like this you'll only find a small number of serious writers and then many who have their own reasons. You are most kind for reading my poems, and I do not mind in the very least. I write to communicate with other people, and I'm honored to communicate with somebody who truly wants to read my work and not earn $1.06 for sending two lines of happy thoughts. :-) Thank you again for your kind attention to my words. Peace, Brooke

Hi Brooke,
I thought I had read all of your postings, but in the midst of my messages, I had some that were waiting for me on page 2. This one is beautiful. I am so glad to have been able to read it.

Interesting thoughts. I think things are in control, but may seems sometimes out of control. Sometimes the end justifies the means. Nice job...

At times, I've b een tempted to see a fortune teller, but do I really want to know what I'm in store for? No thanks. I can wait.
Great work, as usual. Thanks for sharing this with me.

Truly a thought-provoking
writing that is artistic as
well as being well crafted,
taking the reader down all
the thought processes with
the final line,"Life as I
want it is not guaranteed."
How true, in life there are
no guarantees.
Well done

it would be lovely if we knew what life held for us second by second so we could adapt to suit, but then i wonder if we really want to know what lays ahead. Geoff

a chart would make life rather boring
but the poem is anything but that
it is very well written with a good subject
this was my pleasure to have read and reviewed it... John

if Life has any guarantee in a physical sense, maybe it does guarantee something: it guarantees we will face failure, pain, betrayal, challenges, fights, and ...duh,duh,dhuh....
