Wouldn't it be great Brooke if the whole world would pursue laughter like a child on a merry go round. When one falls and makes a blunder, just get up and say, "Ah shit and pick themselves up a go merrily on their way, and all those involved would do likewise. This is a fantastic poem. Now I can see why your on top of the hill, head of the pack. Don't have to run a race with talent like this.

Nice. Read well. Form a continual progressing vision in my mind. I like the ending also. About thee quarters of the way through I was saying to myself "Ok, do we get a zinger at the end?" and sure enough, circle back to child's laughter.
Thanks for posting

And that's the best kind of race. Oh to be a child, again! You, like me, recall the joy of being a child. I didn't get to be one most of the time but when I did, I recall and relish how I loved it.
Great post, again, Brooke.

I remember a great merry-go-round scene in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. I liked to ride them when I was a kid. Of course we would get off of them while they were moving and try to get back on. Usually the man in charge made us sit in the boats. Great story. Ray.

This brought back many happy memories:) Loved the beautiful picture! I haven't seen many merry-go-rounds the past few years. Maybe its because our children have grown up and I'm not in the right company ;p

You must love animals very much because even animals manequins are the center of your poems. I love to read then and every day I look to see if adewpearl posted one. Have you contacted any publisher's yet. Would love to have your book with your signature on the first page.

A beauiful ride which brings a smile to the reader's face. Children love the merry go round at the park and even the littlest ones have fun on the gaily painted horses. No SPAG and perfect rhythm and rhyme.
