You are a great guy Mike. Your poems and even the notes always give me something to think about. Some are just meant to be the way they are no matter what is thrown at them,... they just like being that way. I believe one of the many blessings I have received being here is the kind of people I have had to associate with. The ones you acknowledge here are some of them and they help make keep this place warm.

Personalities for sure! Belive it or not, I have been lambasted and punished for being soft-hearted by poeple who wanted to teach me a lesson. Yet, I know of no better way to be. I can usually close my eyes and sleep. I really enjoyed your thoughts and thank you for your compliments and this review. Mike

My middle son used to suffer the
same when younger - now he's
a psychotherapist, helping those
with mental and emotional problems.
He gets on with people whether they
are 9 or 90 - and is well liked.
You stay as you are.

It is place where friendships are formed and life experiences are shared. I'm sure your dedications to Twomoon, Judian, arjuna, and HalfHoff are greatly appreciated. They all are wonderful writer's. Wow! I think what you say speaks of the Golden Rule. Following it doesn't necessarily make for a more pleasant life, but in the long run. Wow, I am glad to write this poem as I love the responses that I have recieved. When I decide to write a thought out in the form of a poem. I simply try to choose the style and wording that best conveys it, balanced with the limited time that I have to write. I really appreciated you thoughts, compliments and review. I, too, always believe in gentleness, and the importance of seeing the good side of things over the bad. It is much better for the mind as we allow it to ponder and reason, and to give beauty and faith to shine over harsh realities. I am thankful that my eyes hardly witnessed anything harsh right in front of them, yet I'm aware of its existence in the rest of the world. For me, I'd rather see the cup half full than half empty, and for you, it's important to keep a "gentle heart."
