This poem really made me think, which is good thing in poetry.

After giving your poem much thought, I grasped your message, which was quite powerful.

I think when God is expelled from the homes, teenage pregancy may occur as well. Although there are Christians homes where the teenagers may become preganant. The parents just need to pray.

God Bless You.

Thanks for the review and comments. I agree with you. We need to pray, teach, and love these children. They are our future.

skye - Loved the photo. Six powerful words. I agree that taking prayer out of school sends the wrong message to our children. I prayed every time I took a test. Good luck in the contest. Charlie.

Thanks for the terrific review and insightful comments. I still pray whenever a test, a talk, anything comes around. Helps me get through it.

What a powerful message in just six words! Very well done and so profound. Could not have been expressed better in volumes of writing. Excellent. LadyMary

This is interesting, but I'm afraid without your notes, it goes beyond understanding. Also, are you stipulating that because God was expelled from school, your daughter got pregnant?

If that is the case, I have to disagree. When I was in highschool, prayer was still part of our mornings, but there were also many girls who got pregnant regardless.

As I said, and interesting concept.

Thanks for the review and comments. This could be biographical, because our children choose for themselves. Prayer was expelled from school, we cannot teach certain issues, and our children make choices we wish they wouldn't, as do we. Just a thought on how it all intertwines. Thanks for reading.

Hi Skye,
I was confused on this one, and wanted more than 6 words! : ) I'm glad you put the author note, because it clarified that the poem (feels like a poem, but I know it is classified as a story.)is indeed about what I thought it was about.

Take care-
lovely job.
Ellie

A very thought-provoking brief poem. It brings forth the idea of sexual behavior among our young and the problems it incurred. Good luck in your contest.

This was short , with a good message, love the imagery here and the Thoughts behind the image, you are a talented poet and you have painted a picture of love and life here. There was no error. No typos. Nothing to change. I look forward to your next write

You wrote your opinion well and met the criteria of the contest. However with that being said, I don't completely agree with your message. Whether prayer is said in school or not, will not matter if the message isn't there at home.
Religion, sex education, understanding drugs, etc. has to start with the parents and be carried through with diligence and commitment from the home base the child starts and ends each day with.

I so agree with you. Home is where it all begins, and parents and grandparents must take this responsibility very seriously. Thanks for the review and comments. Your support is appreciated.
