that was exceptional, and exceptionally depressing as well. The Japanese interment camps are a stain on the history of our country. We learned nothing from this abomination however or Guantanemo Bay would not exist.

you shouldnt be either, you deserved it. Gosh that womans speech scared me really badly the other night. I wonder if thats the kind of creepy threatening thing that Hitler used to say to people. I'm not laughing at her anymore thats for sure.

Hi KT wow this was a very well written poem . Great story line and written presentation. The flow and rhythm was smooth and not forced. If this site would allow me to give you a sixer I would. Great job. Trena

Wow, what a poem! You did an excellent job with the word usage. I love the poetic format (the italics and bold fonts) to convey such a profound message.

Good luck in the contest.

This is an interesting format. I like the concurrent dialogues. It really shows both people as human beings who were unfairly treated. Thank you for your copious notes. Thank you for sharing these stories with us. Good luck in the contest.

G'day Mrs. KT,

What a powerful write and in a style I'm not familiar with, yet I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Two men who both work with their hands, embroiled in events not of their making on parallel timelines that differs so much. The individual experiences of both men is further compounded by such a sense of abandonment.

The first thing that came to mind after I read your poem was the phrase "All things are fair in love and war"! NOT!!

Thank you for sharing this great post, best of luck in the contest.

Cheers

Mark

I like this Mrs. KT. It gives a little history lesson, and it's done in a way I've never seen before. Loved the second line of every stanza. That was neat.

Mrs Kt, this is a mezmerizing captivating piece and it is deserving of 6 stars. I regret not having.
Both a tragic tale, loyalties tried and true.
Sacrifice and honor
Pride and humility
Perseverence and determination
the list goes on and on.
Life and death
will we ever forget, hopefully not...
wonderfully written.
