Hello, Bananafish308.
This is the first entry in the book report contest that I have seen.
Good luck.
You have a good writing voice here. Thanks for keeping the paragraphs short. Long ones are almost impossible to read on my laptop.
Wow! You tell this story well. I am not fond of King's novels as they give me nightmares. The last one I read was that one about the old haunted hotel in New England (?) back about 1982.
Creepy, but talented. I also saw "IT" on TV.
Yet, you make me want to rush over to the library three blocks away and check it out.
Good job.
You nailed this.

Rosy, thanks for the kind words and encouraging review. I think the story you are referring to is "The Shining". I do not like all of King's work; I mainly appreciate his stories that deal with real life nightmares, rather than the supernatural, such as "Misery". I also prefer his short stories, to his novels. I did, however, find "On Writing" fascinating and extremely helpful. Thanks again, Bill

Dear Bill,
Yes, that was it, "The Shinning." I read it and got nightmares.
I saw SK on a TV interview show a few years ago. He appeared on the show to promote another spook story writer. He seems like a down-to-Earth guy.
Good luck with the contest.
