You touched a place in my heart because Nature constantly challenges me to write differently and better. You used imagery, metaphor, and poetic devices incredibly well here.

Great rhythm and imagery. Pictures of nature kept finding its way into my head with each line.
I'm glad this helped relieve that writer's block. Good hunting; keep writing.

What a beautiful poem. It is absolutely gorgeous and I relate so much to it as it reflects my own love of nature so perfectly.
Your scintillating use of metaphor created such vivid imagery for me. I thank you for this. Your are very talented.

I am so sorry to be caught not owning a single "6" for a poem that deserves an eleven on a one to ten scale. I discovered Xylok today after he left the most amazing review for me complete with Dylan lyrics, Dylan video (Masters of War) and some other video I haven't even checked out yet in my haste to read his most singular profile. He pays tribute to this poem on his profile, and, of course, I had to read it after learning a little about him. I must say he is a fantastic judge of great poetry. This poem has everything you could want in your inspirational, awe-inspiring, truly poetic, vivid and image -rich poetry. This is one of my all-time favorite stanzas: "I listen for a drop of rain, I see, I smell ,I touch!
A raccoon coming down a tree, my ears are tuned for such.
The shooting stars, Aurora's light, lush berries on a hill,
There's so much more that I could say, perhaps some day I will." Girl, you are a natural born writer who knows how to get inspiration and work it for all its worth. Your sensuality was made for delicate poetry with a true backbone you can rock on. You,I believe, are destined for greatness. Please keep shining that light. Don't dim it with booze, bad men, drugs or inauthentic living. Peace and good writing. Maryellen

Spectacular! But helped by the amazing topic you touch.
Are all the inspiration that I'll ever need to write.
I felt you lost rhythm a little with this line. Try removing 'that' and see how it feels.
I found this poem in Xylok's profile page. He names it as the best poem he's found on this site. Quite an accolade. And well deserved.

Oh, yes! I did enjoy reading your poem. It "spoke" to me in many ways and many voices. The images were wonderful and even familiar to me. Good job.

I tremendously enjoyed your wonderful poem. If it weren't after midnight, I'd be inclined to take a walk! I loved this as the imagery and sounds were rich--the tastes too of honey. This was a wonderful romp. Thank you! Mia

I enjoyed your poem. Two of my favorite lines are,"Where every feathered whispered sound becomes a written goal," and
"A xylophone of icicles that ring in winds that swell." You have a magical way with words. This is one of my favorite poems.
