I know understand so much why you are winning the votes, and have won so many before, this is so beautiful, and the lines although about the eason, grabs you. You flow so well from line to line, and I wish I could find something wrong, but it is perfect. you are a great writer, a great poet. I am so impressed.

Hi wierdgrace, Thank you for the super compliments. I am overwhelmed. I've only won a few contests and never have won a POM. I never in my wildest dreams expected to be a nominee. I am very touched by your wonderful praise. Thank you so much! Helvi :o)

I love this poem! If it does not win the contest, it will not be from lack of my vote. Great job, from presentation through premise through imagery. All around good job. ann

Helvi,
Wow. You've got to get going writing all those poems.
It is amazing the amount of inspiration from all that is
around us. A great poem. I'm glad you felt so inspired.

Your easy rhythm and lovely rhymes make this a pleasure to read aloud, and the imagery of what you see is quite serene and inviting. A xylophone of icicles - how beautiful is that?

Good work Helvi2 You certainly covered a lot of subjects from the amazing natural world, and as you state, "There is so much more to write" That's for sure, Nature is, well, everything, and is a quite awkward to pay homage to succinctly and with conviction. Poetically, it is neat, flows well, and contains some inspiring phrases. Thank you.

I can see why this is nominated for POM contest. It is rich with imagery, sounds, texture and JOY, well written with good flow and musical sense.
Nice visuals:
A hummingbird that buzzes by revealing ruby throat.
A butterfly that lingers near and settles on my tote.
A bubble swept up by a breeze that has a rainbow's glow.
My scribbles come from sunset hues that melt into the sky,
Where twinkling stars and moonlight meet, and spirits seems to fly.
The sapphire blue of ocean waves, with edges crested white,
auditory:;
The melodies of chirping birds, carillon's tinkling bells,
A xylophone of icicles that ring in winds that swell
listen for Spring peepers and the toads that trill in Spring,
Then wait for summer's twilight nights, when crickets start to sing.
Soft trickles of a wayside brook, or sparkling silver falls,
Your sense of melody in phrasing is great and the descriptive words abound in this fine write.
Best of luck in the contest!
Warm Regards,
rama devi

Hello Helvi.
What a great tribute to the things we need to see and not take forgranted. The following two lines are exceptional:
The melodies of chirping birds, carillon's tinkling bells,
A xylophone of icicles that ring in winds that swell,
Congrats. rebecca
Just wanted to add my congrats. rebecca
