thanks for the review, shelley...and, thanks for creating this contest and the book...this is my second chapter entry for your book...the first was chapter 30...changing the chapter number is interesting because I'm always thinking someone else is posting at the same moment and we're both using the same chapter #....i noticed about 4 other entries posted right after i did. ...hey, there are some really good entries in this contest..nice variety so far.

Good day, Mrs. Louis...;-) 'Winning' is relative, isn't it?...many times we define things in relation to their opposites... This little 'six worder'..is just something to think about...

My goodness, they'll be calling you Hurricane Starkat, at the rate you're travelling! Hope the weather's not too hot down there. (Why I'm saying "down there" when it's all "up there" from here, I don't know!)

Himself and I are well, thank you ... we had a lazy day today and hope to have another tomorrow. It's nice and warm in front of the heater, as our snoozy felines could testify if they bothered waking up!

being one of the world's great 'bluffers', i know what you're saying. It gets harder to retain a 'poker face' but it's better than boring the pants off everyone (unless they're attractive and female, LOL) Good entry and good luck. I've also entered.

Thanks for the review, Ray...I just read and reviewed your entry. It's kind of fun to see what impact can be created with only six words. Maintaining a good poker face is a real challenge....as well as reading other's faces and trying to figure them out...it's an art that works both ways.. hey..I appreciate the comments...;-)

Thanks for the review, grumpylinguist. Glad you liked my little six worder. The artist created about 16 painting of 'Dogs Playing Poker'...a few of them became famous and the originals sold for lots of money. This one is titled, "It looks like four aces to me"... I appreciate your comments...;-)
