I LOVE these six word memoirs. I can't believe I missed out on the contests, because I've got a million of 'em. :-)
I hope they keep running them.
Good luck in the contest.

roflol! Lordy be, m'dear, I so love your little story, and the picture (a very familiar one) absolutely suits it to a T!! I can just see the steam rising off the one being asked...demanded of? ..... to....horrors!....wait.

Well done, m'dear. Very well done. Good luck.

Best regards,

Eleiece K.

Hi Eleiece K. Yes, the bane of all impatient people to be told to .......... wait....aarrgghh. All too much for this impatient sod (meself), however have learned to tap the old foot, find something else to do, or at least go away and....wait.

Thanks for this wonderful review my friend! xoxoxoxox

In my career, it was most often, "do it now or risk being written up or being fired" even if it meant you weren't likely to do your best work. Sometimes I'd ask, "Do you want it on time or right?" That would often stop them in their tracks. good luck in the contest.

That's what I used to say to impatient people! As for my own impatience? It's more to do with trying to get something started, then things just seem to lag behind and I lose interest.

Thanks Rdfrdmom2 for this review, and your good luck wishes! xoxoxoxxo

LOL. Yes, that is what often happens, isn't it? Sometimes it is best just to wait, rather than waste energy appealing for the urgent response. Good luck, Chris.

Good message and great insight into your personality. I love that cartoon! My favorite saying is, "lack of planning on your part, does not constitute an emergency on my part." Nothing to do with your poem. Good luck in the contest.

:-) I know how you love waiting for things.

I think it squeaks by on the story front just enough. and it's really quite amusing. I can't stand waiting either, so this makes sense to me... except I don't wait. :-) so my ending might be different. ha

nice job. best of luck in the contest!

I love the picture. I've seen it before and it tells a whole story in itself. Your entry does the same. I love the small word "wait" at the end of the line. Shows a realization that we all hate. Great entry. Great luck in the contest.

Thanks Bill. I spent ages looking for that pic; I remember it from my public service days - I always used to giggle at it. And yep, it's that way, ain't it? As impatient as some of us get, the only option really is to...wait.

Thanks for a great review, and the good luck wishes! xoxoxoxxo

Patience isn't one of my virtues, either. Have you heard, Lord, give me patience, and I want it NOW!"? Your contest entry mirrors what every parent of a small child knows - a "Do it now" usually requires a bit of a wait. I have just had my 7 and 4 year old grandchildren for a week and it is always a lesson in patience in doing ANYTHING with them. And they are really good children. Anyway, I loved this. Best of luck in the contest. This one is a winner. Blessings to you, Linda

Thanks Linda! And yes, Ive heard that adage, although the version I know is "Lord give me patience RIGHT BLOODY NOW!"

My father lacked patience, and I took after him, so it's been fun and games learning to "wait" over the years. And as for my 14 year old, DON'T TALK TO ME ABOUT IT. I have to ask her a day before when I need something done! Aaarrrgghh.

Anyway, thanks again so much for this review and your encouragement as always xoxoxoxoxoxo

I hate waiting as well so this has a special meaning to me. I wasn't sure this was a story at first but after a few reads I understood the implied transition. Very clever and creative entry to the contest. Good luck.

Thank you Zolag!! I was a tad concerned that some wouldn't get the ....wait bit! But that's what I've had to learn to do, as said. For those of us who live in impatience, may the best come to us RIGHT BLOODY NOW!! Thanks again! xoxoxoxo
