Thank you so much for the review. I have fallen way behind in answering reviews and have finally resorted to using a carbon copy answer to catch up! We have house guests and an exchange student staying with us right now. Please know I have read your review and if you made suggestions or corrections, I have considered and/or applied them. Many thanks for reading my work. It means more to me than I can ever say.

One again you continue to inspire. Short is better than none at all, and this piece is quite beautiful. Well done.
It gives hope to those who may need it. I'm not one for spirituality, but this peace definately works.
Good job.

Hi Jan, this piece is beautiful. The light circles being prayers or answers to prayers is an awesome thought. It gives vision to what we know by faith to be true. I have nothing to pick. This one is lovely as is. Thanks for sharing.

Jan,

I imagine that you are very busy these days, especially with the severe weather you've been having in Iowa.

I enjoyed reading this post, and I couldn't find any nits. That must've been a beautiful sight.

What if those shimmering circles are the answers to prayers being sent to God. Our prayers float up to God, and His love cascades down upon us even when we can't see it.

What a beautiful thought! I closed my eyes and tried to imagine what it was you saw and the lines above made it crystal clear for me. A great testament to the One who watches over all.
Well done.

When I saw the title of this, the line "Almost heaven - West Virginia" went through my head. I wondered at first if the piece would be about your home, but this is much more interesting still! I wonder what those circles of light were? It made me think of souls travelling... (maybe Louis and I were passing by doing a bit of astral travelling - dang, I should have waved!!)

I think the generations needing to see to believe goes back a long way, really. Certainly to the nineteenth century, and probably before - it seems to have been a case of superstition (ie of the burn-the-witch variety) being replaced by scepticism, which isn't terribly strange, I suppose, given the rise of science. A happy medium is needed, I think!

Love the comment about why we've got limited vision. Reminds me of the frights people got when microscopes were being created, and they started to look at their drinking water - eeek!

No nits or suggestions here, just good writing.

Hugs!
Louise

Somewhere in my aged memory is a story I heard about a well known theologian. He had been on record as saying God is Dead. On a trip to the Holy Lands, he became dioriented while on a hike. His body was found less than a mile away from town. Well written with good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Amazing! I was struck by how you could look at a natural phenomenen, and see prayers! Not only were they floating up, but answers were drifting down as well.

What a beautiful, hope-filled piece!
You awe me with your perceptions.
