Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I really was moved by this piece, It reminded me of a story that I wrote years ago in a English class. We had to write of a scariest or happiest time from as far back as we could remember. I had something in my past that happened that no one else would believe and I wrote, and wrote probably about twelve pages. I spilled my guts on those pages I turned into my teacher. I figured he would think I was nuts. Well, He wrote me a note and told me that he believed me and I wrote so beautifully. He said that my writting captured him and that It was so real it would have to be believed. OK back to yours, I really have never thought about that relation between or fears and a past life but if this is true it seems pretty amazing and you got my attention. Great writting. Thanks for sharing

Hi photogirl. Firstly thank you so very much for the 6 stars! Secondly, I'm real pleased that this story got your attention and kept it. I think sometimes we get a bit "silly" about our fears and think we're nuts, but I feel that a past life connection can be a cause and knowing that, may go some way towards curing it, or at least giving us some peace with it. Again, I thank you so much for stopping by, reading and reviewing, and your encouraging comments. I'm also glad you teacher responded well to your own story. Sometimes, if we're not believed at a younger age, this can rock our confidence and make us almost apologise for being afraid... xoxoxoxo

I think you've hit the nail on the head, with your past life fears. And it's lovely that your mother and father from your "Titanic" life are here with you, again. I don't have any spag errors for you, I like this the way it is!

Hi Lara. Yes, it was a strange yet great discovery that my husband and daughter in this life were with me then. It sure explains a whole lot of "issues" that crop up now anyway! Thanks very much for stopping by, reading this and reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed it! xoxoxoxxo

Greetings alpacalady:
This story is so heartfelt. I could only imagine what you must have been feeling. I went on some rides at the county fair that I'll never go on again. Too many dangerous and not enough staff for the extreem rides.
Past life of imagination?... I would tend to go with the past life. There is too much proof in past lives to disproof it.
Thanks for sharing
Blessings

Hi Forestdawn! I agree. I do believe there IS too much proof of past lives to discount it. I've read plenty of books (as said in the story) that validate it, and they have been written by professional people who are respected in their fields. It's up to each individual to decide what they believe, and if they're interested enough, to follow up on that belief.

Thank you so much for your review, and your support here. It definitely is a subject that raises a lot of discussion and some controversy. I don't believe there'll ever be an answer which proves or disproves it though! Blessings back to you xoxoxoxoxxoo

Thanks so much wierdgrace. I'm glad you enjoyed my tale! It was an odyssey to say the least. There are others, but this is the most significant by far. If you do find errors, please let me know if you can. I've combed over it a trillion times, but you know what it's like; proofing your own work is never the best thing to do! Again, thanks for the vote of confidence xoxoxoxxo

This is very well written and very interesting. I often thought my oldest daughter had lived a past life in the 70s. She was born in 79, but many things she said and did every as a tiny child, made me think she lived a life previous. I don't know that I believe this stuff, but I found it fascinating to read your experiences.

Thanks so much ritareeact3. It is a fascinating subject, whichever way it's viewed. For those who believe, there's so much information out there to validate it, yet for those who are sceptics. there's also a whole lot of scientific research available to refute it. It's just one of those things that must be taken on faith.

Thanks so much for stopping by, reading and reviewing this. Your broad-mindedness is very much appreciated oxoxox

Interesting story. I don't know that we are from past lives. I don't believe in it myself, but if you do that is your belief. Good luck in the future and I hope you find what you are looking for to keep your sanity and me to keep mine! lovemyta

G'day lovemyta! Yes, sanity is the precious commodity we grab on to with both hands, any way we can!

I appreciate hearing your views about this, and appreciate even more the fact that you read my story with an open mind. This tells me there is still a HUGE amount of hope in the world. So thank you for stopping by, reading and reviewing with an open mind. And I wish you good luck also; we must all venture forth our own way in this world and do the best we can with those ways. Blessings to you my friend! xoxoxoxoxoxo

This is an interesting topic, period. There are so many unexplainable occurrences in our lives, we try to get answers for them and they continue to elude us. Wonderful story here, I enjoyed reading this. Thanks for the opportunity.

Very interesting to start, then for some reason I found my attention wavering. Might be just me, but perhaps too much description and not enough 'reach into my head and twist'. Otherwise very good writing style and good use of vocab, an anal point with me.

This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.
The highest and the lowest rating are not included in calculations.

Hi ptmanette. Thanks so much for this honest review. It's possibly my own attention might've wandered a touch here and there, so it might not be you! It's a topic that can send the writer off into nod-nod land sometimes, as well as the reader, so I appreciate what you've said here. Again, thanks so much for stopping by, reading and reviewing this - I appreciate it! xoxoxoxxo

Interesting article which pushed the reader to think and to remember a lot. Really, our unused part of brain contains a lot of puzzles and mysteries. I guess that nobody could say anything about this for sure, but there are well known a lot of happenings like yours and a lot of stories about the different kinds of fears. If you really have an access ( sorry, I forgot how to spell this word properly) to this psychic, I would be interested to contact her and to ask her some questions. Is she capable to fix things like that? Did she help you somehow to fight your fears or she just diagnosed it without solving a problem? It would be a great deal to find the way to heal things like that. It will be a chance to heal many mental illnesses and it would be a Nobel Prize, if she could fix these problems, I am sure. The people really need it. I am really interested in conversation about this problem because my dearest beloved husband became mentally ill after 33 years of happy marriage and tried to kill me 3 times in a row. So, I left him and living in hiding now, but it's a big tragedy for me and I would be happy to try to heal him. He was visiting once the hypnosis session and he was told that there is a curse on him ( I guess not on him in person, but on his family for many years ago, because his sister is the same and his father was the same and ended up with a suicide). If there would be a chance to help him, I would take it because while he doesn't have his illness attacks, he is a great person and I had a happy life with him. It's so sad and tragic that all of these ended that bad way. Thank you for sharing. Fidgitive

Hi Fidgitive. Firstly thanks so much for stopping by and reviewing this - I appreciate it very much!

Secondly, if you feel your ex-hubby needs this sort of assistance, don't seek a psychic or medium as someone to FIX it. A psychic's job is to IDENTIFY possible causes, or other things in a reading, that may be blocking a person's path, etc., NOT to fix them.

There are psychologists who use regression therapy as part of their practice if it's proven that modern medication or conventional treatments haven't worked. If your ex has tried everything, and still has this difficulty, I suggest you have a look for a psychologist who does regression therapy. A great author I'd recommend about this topic is Dr. Brian Weiss. He's a psychologist who incorporates regression therapy as his treatment programme if it's deemed necessary. He's written a few books about his experiences, and I think you may benefit from reading these. One that comes to mind is "Many Lives, Many Masters" - a wonderful read about a lady who suffered from countless phobias and other emotional difficulties which didn't respond to usual medication or treatment. It turned out that echoes (or residue) from her past lives were playing a huge role in her current one, and once this had been uncovered, she was able to deal with each issue, and ultimately get over them.

While no-one can guarantee complete cure, sometimes discovery and understanding of what causes symptoms/behaviours goes a long way towards achieving this.

If your ex has a "curse" on him, I'd be visiting either that psychic who identified this, or another to find out what sort of curse it is, and who would be the best sort of person to remove it. You'll always find people in the psychic industry who specialise in certain areas, such as Wiccan, Druidry, Pagan or other belief systems that may be of help. This could amount to quite a bit of $$ on your part, but it sounds like you desperately want to help him. Also, there are spiritual churches dotted round everywhere in every country. Look them up and visit them as well. If there is no-one within a particular church group, they may be able to recommend someone.

Be very careful while you search, of those who may appear too good to be true. If your first feeling about someone is this, then please pay attention to it. This is a very delicate situation for you and your ex and the last thing you need is to have him further distressed by a charlatan (there are plenty of them out there too!). Always go by recommendation of trusted sources in matters like this - it will pay you dividends in the long run.

If you want to chat more about this, send me a pm. I truly hope you are able to find a way to help your ex; it sounds like you both desperately need this.

I'll repeat my two main points:

    1. Psychics identify and guide, not fix. If you always remember that, you won't be disappointed with readings. (If you find a psychic who offers to "fix" the problem, please be very wary. This could be a fledgling who wants to prove themselves, which could ultimately do more harm than good, or a charlatan who is only after $$).

A psychologist who incorporates past life therapy in his/her practise would be a very good avenue to follow here.

In closing, I wish you both the best of luck here. I personally cannot recommend anyone myself (I'm in Australia and you're in Canada!), so my best suggestion here is to ask around, and search on the net. And please, read. Read as much as you can get your hands on. Then go to "experts" for clarification.

Good luck, and blessings to both of you xoxoxoxoxxo

Story line right up my tree. Have read a few books on the
subject, tried some of their suggestion on how to.

I remember when I was between three and four years old
being pissed at my parents because they would tell me
who I was before I became me.

I think it is very possible that my soul has inhabited different bodies.

Starman's Pat seem to be touching a lot of lives.

G'day phaedra! Thanks for this awesome review! And yes, Starman has reached out a few times - I'm not a huge story reader (or writer yet), but I often do grab his when I see them. He makes so much sense. I'm quite sure we've all lived before, or at least the vast majority. It's just that some people seem to think reincarnation means that Joe Blogs will come back as Joe Blogs in his next life...!?

It's up to those who believe to continue believing, and those who don't to continue their train of thought. There will never be enough information to validate either side of the argument so that one wins I reckon. Some things need to be taken on faith, and this is, in my view, is one of them.

So thanks for stopping by, reading and reviewing - I appreciate it (and it's good to meet ya!) xoxoxoxo
