Jan, I wasn't reading with an eye towards spags because I had tears in my eyes and could hardly see the writing on the page! This was a real uplifting, heart-string pulling story with a beautiful ending, though unexpected. My hat is off to you, my writer friend. Another exquisite job of writing.

Jan, I wasn't reading with an eye towards spags because I had tears in my eyes and could hardly see the writing on the page! This was a real uplifting, heart-string pulling story with a beautiful ending, though unexpected. My hat is off to you, my writer friend. Another exquisite job of writing.

You write well in a rush. I didn't see any nits or spags. This sort of reminds me of another story you wrote with a mother and daughter I believe. In that one I was clueless, this one I was waiting to see which one had died first. But it was a very lovely story and a nice thought.

A very well written short story that presents a different view of St. Peter and the Pearly Gates. In its own way, it offers hope. Surely God cannot banquish babies because thay have not had the time to accept John3:16.

This line - Were you happy? Loved?" - kinda gives the game away to some extent. It's not all that big a deal, but if you want us to wander down the garden path a little more, you might want to think about dropping it or changing it so it's not a clue tat things aen't what they seem.

As a Christian I believe there will be a place where those who are prematurely taken from us will one day be reunited. It is this fath that allows me to focus my attention on the living..
