I pray your friend heeds your call and stays right where they are. Life may seem so hard at times we don't want to go on but there is always a special magic that will return given time.
Love and hugs to you both. Please tell them we care too.

Jan,
This is wonderfully written, and yet sad. There is no errors or mistakes as far as I could tell. I hope all goes well for your friend, dear.

your right life isn't fair
and someone always has it worse than we do
if we take the time to look
your also right you would miss them
i won't lie
i have a history of "attempts"
and it takes me little to no time at all to plan one
I don't always know what my trigger is
nor do i know how to prevent it from happening
so far i am here
most times i don't want to be
unlike your friend
i only know one true person who "maybe" would miss me

Thank you so much! :-) I do appreciate your comments but I would be very surprised if only one person would "maybe" miss you. I think you would be very surprised. I would miss your wonderful poetry, for one!

i have been sick and down
yesterday i went to have my blood pressure checked at my dr
and they did an ekg
and it was bad
bad bad they gave me nitro to take with me
and a script of it for life
as well as more bp meds and orders to carry a cell phone on
when i am walking anywhere and tell my co workers
so they know how to administer the nitro
it scared me
on top of untreated diabetes
and stress i am sort of depressed deeply as you can see.

We never know which words will be our last. that is a thought that should always keep in the back of our minds. Life is not fair, few things are, but it just means we must make the most out of what we got. Good post, jan.

Hullo Janilou .......
This is very nicely written, revealing and sharing with us, not only the tragedy that followed in the wake of the first accident but also your own loving and caring heart and your longing to be able to help your friend.
I too hope that your words will reach his heart and dispel his idea of taking his own life. Even more powerful is prayer, asking God to give him the strength to face life and its problems and to live until his natural death.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
With love from ..... Nanette Mary.

How incredibly sad. I think this friend should look at it from another point - he misses his friend very much I'm taking it and is really hurt about him dieing - tell him he will be causing the same pain he is feeling at the moment to other people, only they'll feel worse because when someone takes their own life, those closest to them are forever feeling guilty and asking themselves 'what could I have done.' I know this because I've had to go through it and the pain never stops, it just gets a little easier to live with each day which is the best we can ask for at times. My heart goes out to you both
