Your writing always speaks to me! Very well written, I am still pretty behind on my reviewing but I am slowly making some progress, A wondeful poem to start with tonight!

You made a good point in your author's notes. Perhaps they feel it will be necessary to know, so once mankind has finished destroying this planet he (collectively) will have somewhere else to move! Wouldn't it just be easier to deal with the issues at hand? You did a good job of bringing this to light. It was a nice read. :)

Hi Monte. I must say that I echo your sentiments. So mush money is wasted on things that are unimportant in the full scheme of things,

Here here I applaud every word of this poem I really do. Last week I was fortunate enough to see some British dolphins and it made me think lots about our beautiful planet. Then I hear the news of yet more deaths through war and politics in various parts of the world.
Thank God for poets is what I say.
Excellent words and a lovely example of couplet poetry too.

Your last stanza sums it up perfectly:
starving people and the homeless ignored
Money wasted on destruction and war
There is no oil crises, only a greed boom. Brazil does not import one drop of oil. Over 50% of their cars run on sugar cane. The problem is the US media is in the pockets of corporations who decide what is news.

Hi Monte,
It's horrendous and sad what is happening on this earth. There are people getting wealthier and wealthier, but on the same hand, so many more are reaching the depths of despair.
As usual, your words are wonderfully designed. Great work.

Strong, contemporary issues in a nicely rhymed poem.
Your emotions are apparent, your words bring the issues alive. Good rhymes, good rhythm, something we all need to think more about.
Well done.

Very good poem. Sad and shocking reality that is heartbreaking and tragic. I agree. Money used for war could be spent to ease all the pain and suffering. Thank you for sharing. Robbin
