I felt gratitude to the world in general, for letting me live in it. All of a sudden, my worries faded away, the world seemed a better place, and my heart filled with warmth" People may forget what you say, but they never forget how you made them feel. This is exactly what this young woman did for you! Thanks for sharing a wonderful few moments that would have made anyone's day.

Thank you very much for the great review. Yes, that girl made me feel very good about life. Too many in this world are only for themselves. I'll never forget that encounter.

Hi yentel,

Thanks for sharing htis wonderful feel-good story eith us. Yes, the badnes sin the world does rule in the media it seems, but there are still good people around.

Having said this, isn't it sad that such a simple act of kindness has to affect you this way instead ofit being just a normal everyday thing?

Times have definitely changed.

So sorry to hear about your parents. My condolences.

Though missing some small things ... misplaced commas and such, this story was welltold. Thanks for sharing and don't forget to take time to smell the flowers!

Always,
David

A well written piece with no mistakes that I found. Yes It makes the world we live in a better place when people do small acts of kindness for others.

I really loved this story. You never know when a small act of kindness for no particular reason will come your way and change all that you know. I agree, there is still good in this world and everyone is not in such a hurry to be selfish. What a touching experience. Thank you so much for sharing. I did not see any thing that needed to be corrected, but I was rather caught up in your story. Robbin

Hi yeltel,
a very nice story,
life is worth living after all,
only the world seems to have no better place,

Hello, this story reminds us that a little bit of kindness goes a long way. A very nicecly told narrative, you make all your words count and don't waffle, and the reader is able to visualize this incident, and emapthize, very easily. Good writing, your buddy, abby

Thank you, dear Abigail, for such a lovely review. I was deeply impressed by this act of altruism in the world where too many people are for themselves, and had to not only write this, but promote it, for more readers to see.

definitely a good story. easy to read and follow. i did see two spaggies.
Tears welled up in my eyes (add up in)

having lost both my parents. (switch my and both)

a suggestion : you might want to place punctuation inside such as commas and periods inside the quotation marks and parenthesis. just an idea. will help some of the readers.

imagery is excellent. a very lovely tale indeed. keep up the good work~

It's amazing what a single act of kindness can do to another person's spirits. Sometimes all it takes is a simple smile. I enjoyed the fact that the checkout clerk was friendly and helpful as well. Nicely done, Yeltel.

It happened yesterday in Albertson(')s supermarket ...

... in line for over 20 (twenty) minutes ...

I was at the checkout counter(,) watching the clerk busily clicking the register buttons.

And then, to my surprise, the young lady with the beer said(,)
"I'll go and get it for you(.)" (The dialogue and the line above it belong together. Punctuation marks always go inside the quotation marks.)

"I can't even tell you how extremely grateful I feel". "You did it for me..." (Delete the quotation marks after feel and before You.)

Marjorie

Thank you, Marjorie, for taking the time to review my work. I appreciate your comment and feedback, and have already made the corrections. Alas, Albertsons supermarket is spelled just like that "Albertsons Supermarket'. I just Googled it, to be sure, and here it was, this is how is it spelled in Vegas. Everything is upside down in Vegas (smile).
