Having said this, isn't it sad that such a simple act of kindness has to affect you this way instead ofit being just a normal everyday thing?

So sorry to hear about your parents. My condolences.
Though missing some small things ... misplaced commas and such, this story was welltold. Thanks for sharing and don't forget to take time to smell the flowers!

I really loved this story. You never know when a small act of kindness for no particular reason will come your way and change all that you know. I agree, there is still good in this world and everyone is not in such a hurry to be selfish. What a touching experience. Thank you so much for sharing. a suggestion : you might want to place punctuation inside such as commas and periods inside the quotation marks and parenthesis. just an idea. will help some of the readers.

"I can't even tell you how extremely grateful I feel". "You did it for me..." (Delete the quotation marks after feel and before You.)
