How did I miss this?? Anyway, it's excellent. You have covered one's entire life in 6 carefully chosen words. It's excellent, but when is your work not superb? Thanks!

Question lead to more question and so our quest for answers begins. Another really good post and an excellent contest entry.

The questions are always more important than the answers. I enjoyed your aphorism, though it vaguely sounded like a slogan for GE. The best questions are the ones children ask. Why is the sky blue. A PhD candidate had to answer that question and wound up talking for nearly an hour. Fine poem. Ray

I enjoyed your picture. You just "look" like a great teacher! I am new to the site, but, I will be sure to read more and more of your work. Thanks for sharing with the world your knowledge and expertise, and your insights into the world!

Ah, Diane . . . not just a story in six words, but epochs. From the beginning of recorded history, we view attempts to reconcile mortality with eternity. "Searching plausible answers; discovering innumerable questions" speaks to the journey of individuals, tribes, communities, and nations; each in awe of "why." Articulate, encompassing, and poignant: What a story!

Hi diane,
Great art and color scheme. Amazing that our thoughts can ponder so much with six words. Yes, when searching for answers life often sends us more questions. Thank you for sharing this well written piece. Good luck with the contest and God bless and best wishes!

Amazingly short but mind-blowing and mind- pricking.
A strong philosophical question! It sounds simple and yet it requires a life time of deep thinking to see a tiny wee bit of light on the answer!

You have given my brain a good work up for today!
Excellent.

Okay, this makes you think, but it doesn't seem to follow the contest's rules. I thought this was supposed to be a STORY that incorporates the words listed and this is clearly not of story length.

Hello - Please take a few moments and read the contest rules and narrative. You will see that I have indeed followed the contest's rules. My offering is the prescribed length: six words, and it did not have to incorporate any prescribed words. Thank you . diane

HOW TRUE!!! A friend of mine used to say that the more he knew, the more he realised how much he didn't know. Same idea, basically. Great Job on this 6 word challenge!

Thanks for sharing,
Donna
