This is a very good six word poem you have penned. I am glad you put that the word with the hyphen counts as one word. Great job and God bless. Teri

thanks for creating the contest! thanks for reviewing...glad you liked my effort..:)
this contest filled up quickly like part 1 did... hey, it's a popular contest...lots of writers want to see what they can do in only six words... i've had a few reviewers wish they could have gotten in on this one...so, maybe there's room for part 3 down the line somewhere...;0

    thanks again...
be well, be creative....most of all, be you

Hi starkat
I reckon you could sell this one, perhaps to an adventure travel companyGod work, and best of luck in the contest.

Good idea, Keith...If they liked it I think I'd just give it to them... then, see if they'd put me on a contract to do a whole bunch of them. Hey...perhaps I'll start my own adventure travel company...;-)

Hi Art, that's a good six-word entry. Together with the picture they tell a perfect story. I wish you good luck in the contest, I think I've missed out on it and it's closed. Oh, well.

Love,

Your form buddy *smile*

Thanks for the review, Jen. Both of these 'wandering lost' contests filled up the day Shelley created them. I missed out on part 1, but got in on this one. I imagine there might even be a part 3....as the contest appears to be popular. I would be fascinated to see what six words you would submit.

    I appreciate the comments...
    Have a wonderful day..

Yes, life is just one big adventure! Isn't it? Great entry to the contest. Great picture choice to accompany your story's content.

yes...it's one big adventure..and each of us has different adventures, which makes life interesting. I think we learn through time which adventures we definitely don't want to go on, and conversely which ones would be the most beneficial to our personal quest.

Thanks for the review, Kristen. Glad you liked my entry. I see you've also entered this contest...so, will check yours out shortly...Art

Starkat,
very well done. That's a good life memoir, to take on new
and exciting adventures. A lot of us aren't that adventurous.
Good luck on the contest.

Thanks for the review, heyjude. Lots of adventures out there...big, and very small. For me, life's more interesting if I see it as an adventure..I appreciate the comments...;-)

What a cool memoir, Sir Starkitty! It sums up a whole outlook on life and the life lived in that light, as well. I like the use of the ellipsis, it implies more to come.

Good luck in the contest!

Mrs Louis :))

Hello Mrs. Louis...Thanks for the great review on this six word memoir for the 'wandering lost', part 2 contest. Also, I need to congratulate you on winning part 1 of Shelley's book...(well I guess it was a tie for first...but still first!, you know how it goes). And yes...the ellipsis implies more to come...and in a way all our lives are 'in media res'...and there's many adventures big and small making entrances and exits.

Well I was sans my computer over the weekend as it caught a horrible virus...and a friend of mine had to wipe the slate clean and reload everything. Also, I've been in the mountains where it's hard to get internet connections sometimes.

Anyway, glad you enjoyed my six word effort. And I understand some of the problems you were facing getting the silly editor to behave...;-)

Oh no, your pc getting wiped! I hope you had backup discs for all the important stuff!

You didn't miss too much being off line over the weekend - Tom had a ruddy great upgrade that put the site out of action AND wiped out a lot of reviews and replies. And being up in the mountains sounds much more fun anyway. I was imagining drivng across the States with himself this morning - we'd have to have some sort of ritzy camper van, I suppose (and both be able to drive - now there's a fantasy). Then we could visit all our friends and take off into the wilds when he got tired of being feted!

Thank you for the congrats... I didn't expect to get anywhere in this contest!

    Chat soon,

well...if we get a camper/van...I can do all the driving and give you both a complete tour of all the great places to visit..that way you can just relax and look out the windows.
Luckily...I was able to save my documents and photos to an external hard drive, then reintroduced the stuff later. Last time I got a bad virus..acturally, I think it was a worm, it destroyed my computer and I had to get a new one. It's really no fun to lose everything you've worked on for a long period of time.
One thing I don't like about these 'reviewers only' contests is that usually it's only the contestants that vote even if the entries are extremely short like this one. It's tough for voters to review 12 entries if they're not emotionally invested in the project.
reply by Lady & Louis on 07-May-2008
Yes, I agree about the reviewer-only contests. I don't normally enter them either, it's too much to expect people to review everything. Plus, what if someone has you on squelch? Then you can't review/vote anyway.

You wouldn't want to let yourself in for being chauffeur to Louis and me, we'd probably be absolutely impossible!!!

Your poor computers do seem to get targeted by these worms and trojans! I got a fright the other day when I realised I didn't have any of my pictures on disc. The poems are safe enough here on FS, but I did some very hasty backing up of all the pics - far more work to lose there!

    Mrs Louis

    star,
yeah, have to review before you can vote or more importantly, see the results so far. can be frustrating at times. there should be a way where if you have an entry you can be notified of how many votes you have received ... maybe once a day. the suspense is amazing. but then if we mailed it then we wouldn't know for months.
    you are welcome~
