A very enjoyable read....bet the doggies are adorable....of course they are! I found the entire poem witty, especially the last verse...telephones...that one had me chuckling. I bet they love to chew the wire...or bark at the rings...eh?

Jump upon anyone having fun....

lol

Just lots of loving joy.

Warm regards,
rama devi

PS Good luck in the contest.

Your love for your Scotties shines through in this well written double mini-monoverse. These poems are harder to write than most people think. You did a fabulous job with this light hearted poem. Enjoyed the imagery of your pups having fun and being the quinessential pups.

This is a delightful read and a wonderful contest entry.
Wishing you the best, always

Hey Jan,

Well, that was just darling.

Scotties are so much fun and they have an incredible sense of humor. Thanks for sharing them with us a while,

Gayle

Wonderful piece and I liked the imagery and rhyme.
My most favorite stanza:

Pups of mine
Mighty fine
Love divine
When supine
They don't whine

I surely love it.

thanks, Lea Ann. now, this one, I had some clue where I wanted to go. these pups are anything but lazy. I was out-of-town when I wrote this one and missing them like crazy. I have missed you, too, my friend. love, jan

Cuuuute!

Lovely little poem to your Scotties - have they found their way out of that mucky black pool of melted monitor, yet? Could be difficult combing it out of their hair if it hardens...

Good luck in the contest!

yes, they are named Gwen and Mac -- short for Lady Guinivere and Sir McTavish. after I had the nerve to enter the contest, I couldn't decide what to write -- most of my stuff is so serious, thought I'd try to lighten up tonight. love, jan

Very cute, great description, good flow. You met all the requirements, but I think you stretched it a bit with the rhyme on "jump upon". Just an example " Jump the gun, Ate a bun, mean as Hun" - I am sure you have gotten my good intentions by now.

Fun poem and the mini monoverse appears to be quite a challenge.

Great job.

Cute. I'm not sure I like the requirements, but given them, you've done a really good job. Dogs are rather repetitive so the subject matter works with this too. LOL.

Victoria, the requirements seemed simple until I actually started implementing them. Don't think I'll be going out of my way to be writing many of these, for sure. love, jan
